Riley Keough paid tribute to her grandfather, Elvis Persley, by choosing her daughter’s name in his memory. Elvis Persley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, engaged in a comprehensive dialogue with Vanity Fair for a feature article released on Tuesday.
Within the conversation, the 34-year-old performer delved into her mother, Lisa Marie Presley’s unfortunate demise in January, which resulted from complications linked to weight-loss surgery. Additionally, she addressed the ensuing legal conflict that arose with her grandmother Priscilla Presley concerning her mother’s health.
In May, Priscilla Presley issued a statement affirming that the family had successfully clarified matters regarding their court request. According to details provided by Vanity Fair, Keough has now assumed the role of exclusive trustee for Lisa Marie’s estate.
She also holds sole responsibility for Graceland and the family’s stakes in Elvis Presley Enterprise. This estate is purportedly valued at approx $500 million.
Amid conflicting reports, Riley Keough has provided a clarification that Priscilla Presley is indeed granted permission to be interred at Graceland alongside her deceased husband, Elvis.
The Graceland estate in Memphis serves as the final resting site for multiple generations of the Presley family, including Keough’s younger brother, Benjamin, who sadly died at the age of 27 in 2020.

Riley Keough named her daughter Tupelo. Why?
In August of the previous year, Riley Keough and her spouse Ben Smith-Peterson joyfully welcomed their daughter into the world through a surrogate, affectionately naming her Tupelo Storm Smith-Peterson. The selection of “Tupelo” was a heartfelt homage to Elvis Presley’s hometown in Mississippi, forging a significant link to the family’s roots.
Furthermore, the inclusion of “Storm” in the name paid tribute to Keough’s departed brother, Benjamin, seamlessly integrating his middle name into their daughter’s name.
At present, Riley Keough is undergoing treatment for Lyme disease, a factor that influenced her choice to employ a surrogate for the birth of her initial child.
Further, Riley Keough is currently in the running for an Emmy nomination for her portrayal in the Prime Video series “Daisy Jones & the Six.” Concurrently, Sofia Coppola’s upcoming film centered around her grandmother, titled “Priscilla,” is set to be featured at the New York Film Festival this autumn.
