It was in 1947 when Al Capone, one of the legendary mobsters, passed away. To be more precise, it was on 25 January. As he was born in January 1899, Al Capone was 48 years old at his death. It seemed like it was his destiny to pass away after struggling with his illness. Throughout, he reportedly played with people illegally, being nasty enough.
Now, the question is how did Al Capone die? As we mentioned, he was sent to jail but released in 1939 because of his failing health. Al Capone suffered from syphilitic paresis. That was why he was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. But, because of his negative and ugly behaviour, hospital doctors refused to treat him. Later, he was admitted to Union Memorial Hospital, where he got treated well.
Later, Al Capone was also injected with penicillin. Even though he was healing at that time, the speed of the progress went down. During the last days of his life, Al Capone was at his Florida mansion, more precisely in Palm Island. He was with his family.
It was in 1947 when Al Capone suffered from a stroke. He started healing but during that he contracted bronchopneumonia as well. This went more pathetic when the gangster suffered a cardiac arrest. It was later found that cause of death was apoplexy.
