Their story starts with the tragedy of Woohyun losing his sister and plotting his revenge on the man who did it.

However, as time went on, Yoohwa softened him up and made his rethink his actions and if his revenge was just.
Though Woohyun didn’t completely change, he became sober enough from revenge to realize that the path he was taking might not be the right one. But by that time, their lives have become a tangled mess, with neither of them not knowing what the future holds for them. And as more time passes, their feelings make things more complicated.

Even If… Chapter 41 had Woohyun and Yoonhwa at odds with each other once again as they come face to face. Yoonhwa no longer wants to be around Woohyun anymore and just wants him to act on his promise. However, after being ended up in his house and with no way to go, she felt a little trapped.
She couldn’t even leave the place as her boots were nowhere to be found, and she couldn’t just go out naked foot. She decided to make food for herself instead but was stopped from doing that when the housekeeper of the house insisted that she must rest. The housekeeper took care of everything and prepped her food as well.
Yoonhwa decided to find her stuff once the housekeeper was gone, and this led her to Woohyun’s room. However, all her memories of the past resurfaced, and she couldn’t make herself enter the room. She kept on switching between the thought of entering the room and not. But when Woohyun showed up, he showed her inside the room without any hesitation.

Even If… Chapter 42 will start where the last chapter ended, with Yoonhwa wondering what her status relationship was with Woohyun. She tried to cut ties with him in the last chapter when she decided to take her present back. It was a book in which she had written a letter for his well-being and wishing him well.
Woohyun had kept it on himself all this time, and Yoonhwa decided unconsciously that it must be the thing she should take away. It would be the best way for her to distance himself from him, and possibly end their relationship. However, things are not simple with them, and their little tryst in distancing will only make things more messy than it already is.
But this is not just the story of these two. Both of them are linked to the mafia in one way or another. And neither of them has the option to live a normal life or escape from the place they find themselves in.
