Kizuna Ai and Her Anime Adaptation
The Kizuna Ai VTuber channel, A.I. Channel, burst onto the scene in 2016, and in the blink of an eye, she became one of the top VTubers in the YouTube and Twitch scene at the moment. Newsweek Japan even recognized her as one of the “globally respected Japanese people.”
She has two YouTube channels, her main channel and a gaming channel, both of which collectively hold an impressive 4.5 million subscribers.
Kizuna Ai ventures beyond the streaming world, as she made one-time roles in anime series and even provided the theme song for the Laidbackers movie. In February 2022, Kizuna Ai’s staff organized the “Kizuna Ai The Last Live ‘Hello, world 2022′” concert, revealing that she will be taking a break until further notice.
The staff planned for “future activities to further develop Kizuna Ai” as the reason for the break. During the concert, Kizuna Ai introduced #KZN, an original singing CeVIO AI, which serves as a place to connect with everyone and support Kizuna Ai and creators during her absence.
The anime series is directed by Kenichiro Komaya and produced by Wit Studio and Signal. MD. Deko Akao writes the scripts, Shiori Asaka and Niina Morita design the characters, and Go Sakabe composes the music.
