Along with Mekhi Phifer, Brittany Murphy, Michael Shannon, Anthony Mackie, and Kim Basinger, Eminem makes his acting debut. It was a blockbuster in its first week of release.
The story revolves around a man named Jimmy, aka “B-Rabbit,” which is his stage name. We find Detroit as the scene, and the 8 Mile road, which divides the city in half along racial lines, runs through it.
A young white rapper named Jimmy Stage named “B-Rabbit” musters the courage within himself to overcome these absurd barriers in order to realize his aspiration of becoming a successful hip-hop artist. Now he just has to make them choke and let the bars take the wheels.
