Edens Zero Chapter 229 ‘Sniper’: Recap
The Bellial Gore district is in turmoil as the Edens Zero crew and Element 4 fight each other to the death. After the stunning victory of Happy and Rebecca, we now have Weisz fighting against The Sniper Fie, who has the element of fire at his disposal.
Like everyone else, Weisz is also greatly weakened because of the 3-year time lapse. While all of the civilians run for their life so as not to get caught in the bloody battle, Weisz is hiding somewhere to evade the Sniper.
Weisz tries to make a plan to defeat the Sniper, but it gets really difficult as he doesn’t know his exact location. He tries to avoid being in the firing range and runs into a building, but the bullets tear through the building walls and still attack Weisz.
We find out later that the element of fire can pierce through anything, and so the concrete walls are like paper for it. Weisz also can’t find out how the bullets are so accurate despite his distance from Fie.
As he tries to think of a solution, he suddenly gets a video message. It’s Hermit! It’s revealed that Witch couldn’t recover Hermit’s entire body, but she still managed to make her functional. Hermit is happy that she will soon recover her full body.
Weisz now demands that he receives an arsenal update so that he can defeat the Sniper, but Hermit tells him that it’s not possible remotely. Hermit also finds a solution to pinpointing the location of the Sniper by plotting a 3d map. She adds thermal sensors to Weisz’s arsenal through which he can see Sniper’s location from a distance.
Weisz makes his way toward the Sniper while Hermit distracts him for a while. Sniper doesn’t give in to temptations and shoots Weisz, but he finds out that it’s just empty armor. Weisz sneaks up behind him and finally ends the battle by killing him. Weisz and Hermit congratulate each other, and with that, a stunning victory for Weisz and Hermit team up against The Sniper Fie!
