Our Blooming Youth is a drama adaptation of The Golden Hairpin, a Chinese novel by Ce Ce Qing Han. It is a romantic suspense drama with a lot of mystery around the lead character. Our Blooming Youth Episode 16: Summary
Crown Prince Lee Hwan has been suffering from nightmares in his palace. His brother had a suspicious death. Hwan had received a mysterious letter and prophecies coming true. Among the servants, an absurd rumour circulates that Lee Hwan’s one handle is rotten and incapable of being moved. The news reaches the King through the court ministers. King orders Hwan to prove his capabilities to everyone through a royal hunt.
Min Jae Yi is the daughter of Minister Min. She is the ideal daughter with talent, smartness and bravery. The entire family, except for Jae Yi, is killed in a sad tragedy. She is charged with murdering her family before marriage and escaping with her lover.
Min Jae Yi plans to meet the Crown Prince, who had sent the secret letter and wedding gifts. She dresses in a soldier costume to ask about the letter and requests help. Lee Hwan doesn’t trust her words. Later, he assigns her tasks and allows her to prove her innocence by finding the real culprit.
Our Blooming Youth Episode 16: Recap
Previously on Our Blooming Youth, Hwan and Seong On are back being friends with the help of Jae Yi. They are examining the record in Seungjeongwon’s diary. When Hwan was held captive inside his palace, he sent Jae Yi and Seong On outside to investigate.
Meanwhile, Myeong Jin and Garam also made a plan for the prince. Jae Yi keeps trying to remember the day but starts to connect her broken memories. She finally remembers the face of the Wing Guard messenger who visited her house.
Hwan believes that Tae Kang is innocent, but Jae Yi is sure that the memories are not wrong. They find out the real culprit behind the message case. Seong On, Hwan and Jae Yi are going on a road trip, but unfortunately, they are in danger. The King is making new moves which are very doubtful. He is sneakily leaving the palace to meet someone.
Hwan tries to send Jae Yi to Seong on the way to return to the palace because of the recent dangerous incidents. Suddenly an unknown lady visits Seong On the house. When she went to see Jo Woo Bo and Jo Won Bo, Garam had hunters behind her. The four were having fun while drinking at the house until they saw another death.
The bracelet that Sim Yeong gave to Jae Yi conceals a secret. Hwan sends Jae Yi far away after being ordered by the King. Grand Prince Myeongan is suffering from nightmares. Gye Bi is enraged after discovering that Jo Woo Bo was using Grand Prince to achieve his goal. Princess takes a risky step to cure Grand Prince’s illness. Hwan, Jae Yi, and Garam are getting closer to discovering a hidden secret.
