Jujutsu Kaisen is a series that features a variety of characters. While the main premise of how strong you are in this series slightly depends upon how much-cursed energy you have, like Gojo and Yuta, there are also characters who are strong despite not having any cursed energy. Season 2 anime of Jujutsu Kaisen has been green-lit, and it is only a matter of time before we get a trailer and the exact release date for it.
So far, we are only aware of the anime making its comeback in 2023, hopefully early 2023, and fans of the series are on the edge of knowing what it might bring forth. The manga readers well know what we have for season 2, but it has been known that the upcoming season will focus on the early days of the strongest sorcerer on the planet and his best friend.
We had a very small interaction between the two in the latest Jujutsu Kaisen movie, and we are ready to see more. 1) Gojo Satoru
As of this writing, Gege Akutami Sensei has sealed the fan-favorite character for over 1000 days because he is too strong. The author has personally shared his conflicting thoughts about this character as it is hard to narrate a story with Gojo in it as he has the power to end everything instantly.
The author has been planning to seal Gojo as we have seen Suguru Geto, aka Kenjaku, since the beginning of the show and the upcoming arc in the anime Shibuya arc; fans will be pleased with how well Gojo will demonstrate his abilities before being sealed so the plot with the villains could move forward. 2) Kenjaku Aka Suguru Geto
Kenjaku, the sorcerer that has been alive for centuries now,, is one of the most mysterious characters of all time, and it is not a crime to rank what presumably seems to be the main villain of the series as the 2nd strongest character if not the first.

We have learned from the series how Kenjaku has been alive for centuries, and now after getting Suguru Geto’s body to control, which has the sorcery to manipulate the cursed spirits, he is more formidable than ever. Still hiding his true intentions, Kenjaku is one of the strongest and best characters that we have seen in Jujutsu Kaisen, including other anime characters.
3) Ryomen Sukuna
Ryomen Sukuna, dubbed the King of Curses, is considered to be the strongest curse at the moment. However, thousands of years ago, he was Jujutsu Sorcerer gone wrong and had to be defeated by numerous amount of sorcerers. Still, the sorcerer did not die and had to be stored his cursed energy in his twenty fingers to make sure he was not reincarnated.
However, after eating one of the fingers, Sukuna has revived in Yuji’s body and is waiting to be fully reincarnated. What makes Sukuna even more mysterious is that he also has some plans with Megumi, and the reveal of him being the fallen in the very recent chapters has made him even more mysterious. By the end of the series, we can expect Sukuna to rank even higher than Gojo.
4) Yuta Okkotsu
I was almost conflicted with Yuta even above Sukuna, as he said in the aftermath of the Shibuya arc that he could defeat Sukuna in all his glory too. However, to respect the King of Curses, who is still mysterious, I made a safe call. Yuta has said to have immeasurable curse energy, which is even higher than Gojo.
Carrying a special grade cursed spirit, Rika Orimoto, we have seen in the prequel series that Yuta, without any prior experience, was ranked as the Special Grade Curse User. We have also seen him training endlessly and honing his skills to even adventuring in Africa; Yuta has been called a sorcerer who could reach Gojo’s height before anyone else does.
5) Toji Fushiguro
This is the prime example of a character saying that the characters do not need immense cursed energy to fight cursed spirits and users and even overwhelm them. Toji Fushiguro is the father of our main character Megumi Fushiguro who fought with Gojo toe-to-toe and even gave him a tough fight.
Born without any cursed energy, Toji used this very ability to hunt down Jujutsu Sorcerers such as Gojo, using cured tools to his advantage. Even though he was killed by Gojo, he is the only one who has ever come close to killing and harming Gojo. The good thing is that his legacy lives on, and the new Maki has prevailed to be as strong as him.
6) Maki
Speaking of the successor, it is safe to rank Maki below Toji Fusjiguro, who is as strong as the latter now after the latest arc in the series. Maki Zenin, coming from the top three families, was considered a failure of the clan. Her revenge is to take over the clan and kill the men that she despises, and Maki has been revealed to be one of the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen Characters as of now, thanks to Mai, who landed her this body.

During her with Naoya’s cursed spirit in the Sakurajima Colony, Maki has learned to see everything, and thanks to her no cursed energy, she was easily able to defeat the misogynistic Naoya’s cursed spirit without any difficulties. Furthermore, she can also heal her body within five minutes or so, as she stated in her fight with Naoya’s cursed Spirit.
7) Mahito
Mahito is a cursed spirit who has the potential to be the strongest cursed spirit of all time. While he is still the strongest cursed spirit in this list as of now, the coming arc will narrate stronger cursed spirits such as Mahoraga, one of the Shikigami of Megumi which cannot be controlled; Mahito would have been the strongest cursed spirits ever to exist.
During the Shibuya arc, he met his natural enemy Yuji who could not be transformed by Mahito’s cursed technique due to the presence of Sukuna inside him. While fighting Yuji and Aoi Todo, he stood above them and kept growing stronger as the fight kept going on. It is no doubt that he would have been one of the strongest characters in the series later if it was not for Kenjaku’s plot.
8) Jogo
Jogo, a cursed spirit who just wants to see the world become the home of the cursed spirits and is even willing to give his own life for it, we can easily assume that if it weren’t for his weird matchups with the strongest sorcerers literally, Jogo is one of the strongest cursed spirits as of now who are narrated in the story.

It might seem absurd to see Jogo being ranked this high, but if you look closely, then you would know that the only matchups that Jogo has ever had were with the strongest sorcerer and the King of the Curses himself. Akutami sensei has displayed a variety of characters, and characters like Jogo, who are not as strong as others, are used as a narrative of the plot.
9) Mahoraga
Speaking of Cursed spirits, Mahoraga being ranked this high in this list is a hot-take considering it is not even a cursed spirit but rather a Shikigami which was summoned by Megumi in his last effort to defeat his enemy with himself. There is very little known about this Shikigami expect for that it is considered the strongest of the ten shadows techniques.

The reason this Shikigami is this higher on the list is the fact that the Sukuna had a time fighting this character. He even stated that if it weren’t for Yuji having eaten 15 of the fingers, Sukuna, with lesser fingers, would have been defeated. This is one of the times where we learn why Sukuna is fond of Megumi and has something up his sleeves for this character.
10) Kashimo Hajime
A new entry to the culling games and one of the strongest reincarnated sorcerers we have seen, so is no Kashimo Hajime who has been manipulated by Kejaku to enter this game. There is not much known about Kashimo Hajime aside from the fact that he has been reincarnated by Kenjaku because he wants to fight Sukuna.
The notable thing about Kashimo is his electrical cured energy which was demonstrated very well in his fight against the third-year Hikari Kinji. He had the upper hand in the battle against the latter, and if it weren’t for his well-used tactics, Kashimo would have overcome this battle easily.
11) Hikari Kinji
Speaking of the devil, Hikari Kinji is no doubt one of the strongest characters in the show currently. We saw his weird cursed techniques and domain expansion using the fight with Kashimo Hajime, which even allowed him to be immortal during the time he hit the Jackpot. Maki suggested Yuji find Hikari as he is one of the strongest Jujutsue sorcerers students currently in both Kyoto and Japan regions.

There is no doubt that Hikari seems like a delinquent, and his habit of gambling is something that makes this character unique. Kashimo enjoyed his battle against Hikari and did consider him to be one of the strongest fighters he had met.
12) Kento Nanami
At first, you would think that Nanami does not look like a strong character in the field; however, given a chance, his cursed energy is also immeasurable, and he is someone who uses his brains over physical abilities. We have already seen him come close to his death against Mahito in the first season of the anime; however, his second meeting with him did not end well, resulting in his unfortunate death.
However, Nanami had the potential to be a stronger Jujutsue sorcerer if he had trained and taken Jujutsu sorcerer as a passion rather than a job. Nevertheless, Nanami died protecting his comrades who were unexpected, and it says that no character is safe in this series as well.
13) Aoi Todo
At the time he appeared, Aoi Todo was a Grade 1 sorcerer who was the strongest among the students of the Kyoto region and could be said as almost equal to Hikari. In the goodwill event, we saw him fight beside Yuji with a special grade curse user, and his cursed technique entertained the viewers like none of the characters did as well as his delinquent personality.

While he is still not given the title of the special grade sorcerer, it is safe to assume that Todo is in league with the other students. However, after losing his left hand in the Shibuya arc fight against Mahito, we are not sure how powerful he is now.
14) Yuji Itadori
Our main character of the series could arguably be ranked even higher on this rank, given that these techniques are getting developed as he eats more and more fingers. After eating 15 of the fingers, Yuji surely has become stronger, and his physical strength has only grown. Assuming that Yuji is stronger than Megumi is a hot-take, but he gives Mahito the hardest time due to his physical strength and Sukun residing him.
Given that he is the main character of this show, we can expect him to grow on this list even higher as the series progresses and someone who could be as strong as Sukuna and Gojo. But for now, this place is quite fine for him.
15) Megumi Fushiguro
Speaking of the main characters, we surely cannot forget Megumi, who has the potential to be the strongest character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series; if not, he will be securing the 2nd or 3rd place besides Gojo. Arguably now, we can even assume him to defeat Yuji using his brains rather than relying more on physical powers.

The hidden potential of Megumi will be revealed once he is able to control all of the shikigami under his Ten Shadow Technique, including the current strong Shikigami, Mahogora. Jujutsu Kaisen will continue to portray new and stronger characters in the upcoming arcs.
16) Panda
He is a Mutated Cursed Corpse created by the principal of Jujutsu High—Masamichi Yaga. He studies along with the students and has a vibrant personality with his own humor and taste. Firstly, he is the best of his kind, so there are no Mutated Cursed Corpses stronger than him. Secondly, he is so strong that he’s fully able to exorcise Curses through physical strength alone. He has enhanced strength, enhanced endurance, and high intellect. So basically, he is capable of dealing with many aspects of a problem. This makes him worthy of this spot.
17) Toge
A powerful character who can bend people to his will. Toge has the ‘Snake and Fangs’ seal on his tongue and cheeks, this allows him to use his words and force them onto people. This cursed speech can literally make people do anything he says. If he says Explode, they’ll explode, if he commands ‘Get Twisted’ their bodies will twist without missing a beat. Toge doesn’t speak much in general so that he doesn’t accidentally affect someone with his cursed speech. He wears an extended collar that covers his mouth. It may remind you of Beast Jeanist from My Hero Academia.
18) Hanami
An infestation of everything wrong humans does to nature. He is a Cursed Spirit, with a crazy reserve of Cursed Energy. He is so durable that supposedly he can withstand any Jujutsu attack thrown at him. He can regenerate limbs, manipulate plants made out of cursed energy, and use Domain Amplification—a technique that renders all cursed energy attacks neutralized and useless. A powerful antagonist indeed.
