iQIYI’s series You From The Future is a fun combination of romance and Sci-Fi elements. Based on the novel authored by Jin Yi You, this 24-episode show is bound to get you absorbed into its entertaining storyline and stunning characters.
iQIYI first released You From The Future on August 4th, 2023. This rom-com revolves around Xia Mo and Shen Jun Yao, who start living together out of coincidence but develop feelings for each other. Xia Mo returns to her family’s old coastal house as she’s looking forward to building her career in the city as a Video editor and blogger.
Shen Jun Yao on the other hand is an intelligent, rich, and famous CEO of StanTech, a company that works on technology and robotics. When Xia Mo returns to her old home, she sees that it’s occupied by Shen Jun Yao, and is filled with all kinds of futuristic lab equipment.
Since he can’t move away that easily, Xia Mo and Shen Jun Yao decide to live together until he can transfer all of his scientific equipment somewhere else. The cast of You From The Future includes Luo Zheng as Shen Jun Yao, Ji Mei Han in the role of Xia Mo, Yang Ze as Xing Guang, and Chen Si Che playing Tang Xiao Jie.
You From The Future: About The Show
Xia Mo and Shen Jun Yao first meet at the airport, where Shen Jun Yao accidentally ends up breaking Xia Mo’s mobile. In a fit of rage, Xia Mo tries to comfort Shen Jun Yao but instead ends up falling on him, causing the nearby paparazzi to go crazy as they assume she could be his new fling.
Xia Mo meets Tang Xiao Jie, her best friend, and remembers that she left her suitcase back at the airport. However, before collecting her stuff, Xia Mo heads over to her Parents’ old house which they used to own decades ago. When she arrives at the place, Xia Mo’s surprised to see Shen Jun Yao opening the door.
That’s when he reveals that it was his house now and was filled with all of his important work. Seeing how Xia Mo caused the widespread romance rumors, Shen Jun Yao wants her to publicly release a statement stating that there was nothing like that between them. In exchange for this, Shen Jun Yao offers to leave her house within 3 months, even though he had spent millions on its renovations.
As the episodes go on, we see that Xia Mo and Shen Jun Yao start spending a lot of time together, and end up getting attached. There’s much more in the story, such as Shen Jun Yao’s robot “Starlight”, and other cute moments that are worth watching if you’re into cute rom-coms.

All You From The Future episodes will be available to stream at iQIYI. VIP iQIYI membership will allow access to two new episodes of You From The Future every day. Non-VIP viewers can watch the 30-minute episodes for free, but only two will be released each week, on Fridays and Saturdays.
