Age is just a number, and these middle-aged men from the show Eternal Boys are here to prove it. The show revolves around the lives of six men in their 40s, who are grouped up by an entertainment company to start performing as a band. With no prior experience or the energy of a young age backing them up, these men rise through all sorts of hurdles.
The production company from the show, which is named Manpuku Geino Production, is actually real and is what inspired the story behind the anime. Although the company is the creator of the anime, Eternal boys are also the work of director Migimi and writer Kimiko Ueno.
It was announced to be in the making earlier this year in March 2022 and finally premiered on October 11th, 2022. The series has been ordered for about 24 episodes and will complete the airing of season 1 in March 2023.
With such an unheard-of concept, the show aims to create positivity and hope for those who feel it’s too late for them to achieve what they truly want. Each of the characters has his own story and problems, but when they perform as a band together, there’s nothing that can stop them.
