Kevin Costner, who starred in Yellowstone as John Dutton, will be no more seen in the upcoming series. Well, this is the sad news for Yellowstone fans. The series creator Taylor Sheridan has some thoughts on Kevin’s exit. The creator, the mastermind behind the Yellowstone franchise, created paramount expansive. Now, he broke his silence on the Kevin exit in a recent interview.
Taylor said that after more than five years with Kevin to craft ranch patriarch John. And he added that the Emmy Awardee actor’s abrupt exit poked a hole in his plans. Yellowstone creator also expressed that he is disappointed. And he said that it truncates the closure of his character. It doesn’t alter that, but it truncates it.
There were many speculations about Costner’s exit was came to light in late February. After an exclusive report, it was revealed that Paramount is actively working towards concluding its marquee series. And they going to start a new spinoff that features Matthew McConaughey as the lead.
In May, Paramount announced that ‘Yellowstone’ will end with the second half of its season five. The last chapter is expected to hit paramount plus and paramount in the coming November. Though, though it will remain uncertain in the middle of the ongoing writers’ strike.

What are all the disappointments Taylor has expressed about Kevin Costner?
Sheridan said that Kevin and the network were arguing about when he would complete Yellowstone. They could certainly work on scheduling toward (referring to the exit date Kevin). According to the reports, Costner will be back as the director at least once for a movie called Horizon.
The upcoming movie Horizon will be going to have four series. Also, the actor will co-write and feature in the film. All these things have raised difficulties in his time managing the Paramount series. In May, Kevin took to Instagram and posted that he hadn’t felt this way about a movie since they were making Dances with Wolves.
Dances with Wolves was released in 1991 and directed by Kevin Costner. The director bagged two Oscars for the movie Dances with Wolves-One for the top picture prize and the other for the director award. Costner also said in an interview that he was hoping to release the part of ‘Horizon’ in the time of fall and release it on the festival circuit at the Venice Film Festival in September.
The Costner’s exit from Yellowstone has created shock among the fans. But the creator said that the unexpected exit had changed nothing and how he felt about his leading man. Sheridan also said that he and Costner were quick to resolve their own issue without seeking any legal representatives and publicists.
Sheridan further said that Costner had taken a lot of that on the chin, and he doesn’t know that anyone deserves it. His movies seem to be a great priority to him(Kevin), and he wants to focus. Sheridan hopes the movie is worth it and that it will be a good one.
Overall, the series Yellowstone is getting its farewell in the upcoming days. Paramount Pictures has already moved to elaborate Sheridan’s reach. With all the issues, finally, late-stage negotiations, movie star, and Oscar awardee McConaughey. Now, it is all set to feature in the Yellowstone spinoff.
Sheridan also expressed about McConaughey and said that it seems like a natural fit. Sheridan also added that McConaughey started to watch Yellowstone and responded to it. The creator also said that even McConaughey has expressed that he wanted to do that. And by ‘that’, he meant to express diving into a natural world that clashes against the modern era.
Later, Sheridan responded to McConaughey about what we could do. Despite all of this, the fans are not expected the sudden exit of Kevin Costner from the series. Yellowstone series fans and viewers liked him. But, now McConaughey will justify his respective role and will be liked by the fans in the upcoming days with a new spin-off.
