Synopsis

Ichijou Shouta is an intelligent and rather successful man who works in finance and is known for his charming looks and hardworking attitude towards. However, he has a rather strange hobby that he had been keeping a secret from the public eye – he likes to eat his food being ompletely naked!

This rather shocking habit of his is his way of relieving his stress after a long and tiring day of work. However, this secret of his is soon revealed when his grandmother sends him a letter, inviting him to live with her back in his hometown.

Miki Mahiro is a young guy who lives in the same hometown as Shouta and owned a local produce store. The day Shouta had arrived, he was peacefully eating naked in his grandmother’s house and cooling down, but at that very moment, Mahiro entered inside.

Suddenly, Shouta’s life flashed before his eyes. His well-hidden secret was now being exposed to a complete stranger, who was also one that would be visiting often as his grandmother’s friend. As the two of them are forced to keep seeing each other in the house, will their relationship somehow change? How will Shouta handle the mess he is in?

Zenra Meshi Episode 8 witnessed a number of twist and turns. The episode was filled with surprises as Shouta and Mahir’s relationship crumbles because of their insecurity and unsureness. Shouta had tried to kiss Mahiro, but Mahiro was against it. He knew his feelings for Shouta were true, but did not know if he felt the same way towards him.

Later, when the two of them prepare Suki Taam together, Shouta tells him how he enjoys spending time with Mahiro and his heart feels full, which is why he wanted to kiss him and make sure he liked him as he had never been attracted to a man before in his life.

This saddens Mahiro as he feels hurt by Shouta’s unsurely feelings. He wishes he would reciprocate the love he had for him. When Shouta finally comes to the realization that he does indeed have feelings for Mahiro, he sees him and Ryu hugging, which leads to a whole misunderstanding between the two.

The episode ends with him telling Shimizu about his unrequited love and asking her out to a drink so he can talk about it, but Shimizu adds a twist at the end when she confesses her love to Shouta. Will Shouta and Mahiro be able to reconcile in Zenra Meshi Episode 9?
