Zelina Vega’s journey to reclaim the title of Queen of the Ring has been cut short due to an injury.
This is a tough blow for Vega, who won the inaugural Queen of the Ring tournament in Saudi Arabia back in 2022. Fans were excited to see her potentially repeat that feat this year.
Taking to Twitter
Showing her fighting spirit, Vega broke her silence on Twitter after being pulled from the tournament. She expressed her disappointment but also her pride in being the first-ever Queen of the Ring champion.
Here’s a part of her message:
“Heartbroken… being the first ever, that crown was mi alma y corazón [my heart and soul]! That being said, I’m super grateful to have a history-making moment in the @WWE history books.”
With Vega out, Maxxine Dupri will take her place in the first-round match against Shayna Baszler. Fans will be eager to see how the young Dupri performs against the experienced Baszler.
While everyone wishes Vega a speedy recovery, her message is clear: she’s not done yet! She’ll be back to challenge for the Queen’s crown someday.
