In the previous episode of Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyoudai – Youth Story of a Family, we begin with Minato talking to his friend. We all know have seen that Minato has a typical tsundere personality, whereas Mikoto is a level-headed, mature guy.

The two are not really far apart in age and only have an eleven-month difference. Minato’s friend asks him why he doesn’t call Mikoto elder brother, and Minato looks really offended by that, as usual. In his head, he doesn’t need to call Mikoto elder brother because they are the same age, even if they are one grade apart.

Minato is great at snapping back and tells his friend that he will call Mikoto elder brother if he calls him Senpai. That is when their other friend comes barging in and asks if they want to eat their lunch outside. But lo and behold, the snappy Minato forgot his lunch back home.

Well, Mikoto comes to his rescue as the good brother he is, and Minato looks really shy about it. It is understandable, I guess, looking at how Minato doesn’t want to acknowledge Mikoto as an elder brother but still gets taken care of by him like that. The four go down to have lunch, and Minato’s friend asks Mikoto if he finds Minato annoying.

We get some flashbacks about Mikoto and Minato when they were children. Mikoto didn’t like Minato as a kid because he used to get all the attention. We all know that the youngest gets spoiled in the family. He was not even that much older, but he was expected to be understanding about Minato’s tantrums.

One day, they have a huge fight, and Mikoto tells him that he wishes Minato was never born. After talking to Hayato, who is a pretty gentle older brother, Mikoto and Minato reconcile. He decides to act like a good older brother, and the two have a good relationship after that.
