It was not surprising that the Golden Tiger Clan’s members were wary of Rasen considering he is a Mayton. He is barely able to convince them using the Tutanka’s Canine in his possession.
Rasen was desperate to get Kirtel’s quests since it was the only way he could be on par with his sisters. To do that, he had to be the one to place Tutanka’ Canine on his altar. Let us see what kind of quest Rasen gets after completing this mission in Youngest Scion of the Mages Chapter 57.
Rasen was pretty clever in using the plot holes of his novel to try and convince the Golden Tiger Clan about his credibility. We can already see how bad things could get if the Golden Tiger Clan attacked Rasen, considering that Mirang is one of their weaker members. However, it wasn’t like Rasen wanted to fight them either.
He tells the Clan that he has come to inherit Tutankha and Kirtel’s will to put an end to the senseless slaughter being done by Ivelia and Persia Mayton. Of course they didn’t believe him right away and we can tell that it would be a long time before Rasen gains even a little bit of their trust.
The unique thing about this manhwa is the fact that the MC doesn’t have knowledge about the present and near future since the plot hadn’t begun yet. Recap
In the previous chapter of Youngest Scion of the Mages, Mirang agrees to take Rasen to the Golden Tiger’s village since he is the one who had the Tutankha’s canine. It looked like she was desperate to go back to village but it is definitely a bit confusing since she already made it clear that she was bullied by the villagers.
According to her, she was born weaker than other Golden Triger Clan members and she was basically ostracized because of it. Even so, the two go to a specific spot and Mirang begins digging the ground to find the entrance. It was obvious that Mirang didn’t know the trigger word to gain entry.
His sisters had killed a lot of Golden Tiger Clan’s members and he explains that he will inherit Kirtel and Tutankha’s will by using the Tutankha’s canine. The fight is interrupted when an elder of the clan, Bakuya and Rasen tries to convince him about his true intentions.
Bakuya is confused about how Rasen knew his name. Rasen decides to lie and said that the Great Sage Kirtel told him about it. It seems like even Bakuya had no knowledge about Kirtel’s existence. After that, we get to learn about Tutankha, who was extremely strong and made an altar to resurrect his will after his death.
A lot of things about Tutankha’s actions and the existence of the altar didn’t make sense because of the plot holes and it looked like Tutankha and Kirtel were the same person. After much back and forth, Rasen convinces the Golden Tribe Members and gains an entry to their village.
