Fans of You and I Are Polar Opposites will not have to wait long to hear their favorite characters again. Crunchyroll has officially revealed the English dub cast and production staff for Season 2, with the romantic comedy anime continuing its same-day English dub releases alongside the Japanese broadcast.

The returning cast and creative team aim to build on the success that made the anime one of Crunchyroll’s standout romance titles during the Winter 2026 season.
The Voices Behind Suzuki and Tani Return
Season 2 brings back the lead cast that helped make the first season so popular. Sayumi Suzushiro returns as the cheerful and outgoing Miyu Suzuki, while Shogo Sakata reprises his role as the reserved and straightforward Yusuke Tani. Their performances remain central to the series as the relationship between the two classmates continues to develop.
Speaking about his role, Sakata previously shared that Tani struggles to understand the subtleties of human emotions and often isolates himself in his own world. He said he wanted to portray how the character gradually changes through his growing relationship with Suzuki, making that emotional development feel genuine and relatable.
Suzushiro also reflected on the story’s themes, saying the series explores how difficult it can be to recognize one’s true feelings. She believes many viewers will find moments in Suzuki’s journey that connect with their own everyday experiences, adding another layer of authenticity to the romance.
Supporting Cast Returns Alongside the Leads
The returning cast extends well beyond the two main characters. Every major supporting voice actor from Season 1 is back, ensuring continuity for the relationships and friendships that became an important part of the series.
Characters such as Taira, Azuma, Yamada, and Nishi each received meaningful development during the first season. Rather than existing only to support the main romance, they built their own fan followings through memorable personalities and emotional storylines.
Their return gives Season 2 the opportunity to continue expanding those relationships while maintaining the chemistry that helped distinguish the series from many other high school romantic comedies.
The Creative Team Remains Unchanged
The production staff behind the anime is also returning for Season 2. Director Takayoshi Nagatomo once again leads the project at animation studio Lapin Track, maintaining the visual style and storytelling approach established in the first season.
Series composition and scripts are once again handled by Teruko Utsumi, who also serves as animation producer. Her return provides consistency in both the pacing and emotional tone that earned praise during the anime’s debut.
Composer Tofubeats is also back to create the soundtrack for the new season. His music played an important role in balancing the series’ heartfelt romance with its lighthearted comedy, and fans can expect that same atmosphere to continue.
