This is because when Ye Chen started leaving, Senior Kong was also following him, and when he saw that there was a chance to attack, he threw his sword toward him.
Luckily, Le Chen dodges that. This makes Senior Kong wonder how he has reached such a level. With this, while mentioning to Le Chen that it is lucky for him to meet him, he attacks him with his Stomblade Spell. This time it was effective and lent some damage to him. However, he immediately created a whirlpool of spells around him in order to protect himself from his next attack.

Later in the chapter, we see Le Chen asking him if he thinks that he is a pushover, summons a huge sword, and activates his sword formation technique. As a result, the whole area gets covered in dust, and we see him wondering where on earth Le Chen has gone. Even though he was able to dodge these attacks, Le Chen started attacking him one after the other. At this point, he lets him wonder how much energy he has because, as we know they have been fighting for a long time, and even now Le Chen has so much power.
This was when with the help of his Benlei Ben, he attacked directly on his chest. As a result, he gets shifted back at some distance. This was not it because Le Chen was still attacking him with his powerful attacks and left no chance for him to counterattack or even defend himself.
