Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has received additional development support from Logicalbeat, the Japanese studio best known for its work on Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster. The announcement confirms that the studio helped optimize the upgraded RPG for 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on Nintendo’s new console.
The news was shared by Logicalbeat representative director Yoshiki Domae on social media. According to a translation provided by RPG Site, Domae wrote:
“We were involved in cooperating with the support of 4K & 60fps for Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition’s Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Thank you.”
He also revealed that he replayed the game after working on the project, praising the improved experience.

While Monolith Soft remains the lead developer behind the remaster, Logicalbeat’s contribution focused on improving technical performance for the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Nintendo has already confirmed that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition are also in development. Although there has been no official confirmation that Logicalbeat is involved with those releases, its work on Definitive Edition makes that possibility worth watching.
