WWE’s recent return to Philadelphia proved to be a huge success for the company. The event not only shattered numerous records but also showcased some of the most memorable matches and storylines in professional wrestling history.
While WrestleMania 40 was filled with excitement, the return to Philadelphia was particularly special as it paid homage to ECW, a beloved wrestling promotion.
Celebrating ECW Legends
The induction of Paul Heyman into the Hall of Fame reignited fond memories of ECW among fans. One ECW legend, Blue Meanie, took to social media to express his affection for the former promotion.
He shared that he had gotten a new tattoo on his leg to honor ECW, featuring street signs to Swanson and Ritner, the location of the ECW Arena, now known as the 2300 Arena.
“Been wanting a new tattoo for a while. After Mania week and the love ECW got, this seemed the most appropriate.”
In addition to the tattoo, Blue Meanie also tied the knot with his partner during WrestleMania week, making it a truly unforgettable time for him. The tattoo serves as a lasting reminder of the special moments he shared throughout the week, celebrating the legacy of ECW in the process.
