On the 17 October edition of WWE Raw, Elias will make a comeback. Additional matches for Monday night include The Miz vs. Dexter Lumis, The OC vs. Alpha Academy, and Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle for the US Title.
The Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia is just a few weeks away. As multiple stories reach their breaking point, the show airing on November 5 is going to be a banger. Crown Jewel’s build-up will continue as this week’s RAW show is jam-packed with high-profile title matches and others with high stakes.
Brock Lesnar made a return on the prior WWE RAW episode. Before Bobby Lashley was defeated by Seth Rollins for the United States Championship, The Beast returned to attack him. In another scene, D-Generation X excitedly celebrated their 25th anniversary. Overall, it was another strong show with lots of unexpected elements. The promotion will want to keep up the fantastic work with this week’s WWE Raw.
Here is WWE Raw 17 October Preview:
Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle (United States Title against)
Seth Rollins ended up losing to Matt Riddle in their Fight Pit match at Clash at the Castle 2022. The Visionary was able to beat Bobby Lashley very easily last week on RAW courtesy of Brock Lesnar, and he went on to win the United States Championship.
In the meantime, he became the second superstar, after The Miz, to win the Grand Slam twice. It appears that this will be the final match of their trilogy. Expect Rollins to defeat Matt Riddle, who he previously defeated at Extreme Rules. Rollins won the championship in the previous show, so there is no way he could be dropping it now. So, viewers can expect The Visionary to defeat Riddle on RAW, putting a stop to their rivalry for good.
The Good Brothers vs. Alpha Academy
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are back on RAW! In the previous red brand episode, AJ Styles deceived The Judgment Day and Finn Balor into thinking he was joining their heelish stable. The Phenomenal One, however, revealed that Gallows and Anderson, two of his former friends, had returned. The return of the Good Brothers will see them face The Alpha Academy in their first WWE match in more than 2.5 years, which will set up an explosive feud.
The OC appears to have a good chance of winning their opening match since their comeback, but The Judgment Day might ruin their fun. In the aftermath of their match, the heel group might attack Gallows and Anderson. As a result, AJ Styles might appear to save the day.
Bray Wyatt And Alexa Bliss
Even after her collaboration with The Fiend came to an end, Alexa Bliss continued to carry Lilly the doll around. She may have given up her fiendish ways, but she did so for months. Perhaps she still possesses a hint of evil that Bray Wyatt can draw upon at the appropriate moment. So let’s imagine there is a match on WWE RAW and Bliss glances at the television out of the blue and sees her old friend.
Will she fall to another spell and join the evil side? Or will she decide she no longer wants to support Bray Wyatt? The WWE RAW broadcast needs to address this issue. Even though Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt’s run wasn’t popular with everyone, everything she has done since has been very mediocre. In fact, the proposed alliance might be an upgrade.
Elias Will Be Back On Raw
Elias, Ezekiel’s older brother, will formally return to RAW. Following a plot in which Ezekiel took his brother’s role and caused Kevin Owens to hold a variety of doubts, The Drifter appears to be back. Even though we saw him with Ezekiel in a backstage scene, it appears that the latter’s storyline is now complete. When Elias enters the red brand this week, what can we expect? Will he ever meet Kevin Owens in a fight?
The previous 24/7 Champion last competed in a match in July 2021, where he lost to Jaxson Ryker. He did make a brief but entertaining comeback to the show as Elias’ younger brother Ezekiel. He was, however, forced to sit out after being hurt by Kevin Owens. In light of this, WWE might have Elias make a comeback and focus on KO. Before destroying him in the upcoming episode, the former can accuse the latter of hurting his brother.
Cora Jade And Damage CTRL
In order to find Roxanne Perez a challenger, Cora Jade will go RAW. Rhea Ripley has asked her to come to RAW, but will Rhea be Perez’s challenger on the October 18 NXT edition, as she has revealed?
Last week, Damage CTRL triumphed over WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in a way that Bayley was unable to do on her own at Extreme Rules. What will Bayley do after that? She has already suffered two consecutive singles defeats to Beliar and Candice LeRae.
The Miz vs. Dexter Lumis
For the past few months, Dexter Lumis has been responsible for The Miz’s destruction. Fans haven’t ever heard him talk, and it might be some time before they do because he rarely does it on television. When Lumis spoiled Miz’s birthday party on RAW last week, a furious A-Lister had had enough. Road Dogg scheduled a match last week, deciding that it would be a high-stakes showdown between the two rivals.
The match’s stipulation states that Dexter Lumis will be permanently removed if The Miz wins. If Lumis wins, he will receive a WWE contract. In the upcoming RAW episode, viewers will be curious to see how this will turn out. As a result, expect that The Tried and True Champion will defeat the former WWE Champion with ease. Lumis might defeat The Miz in order to sign with WWE.
The Miz has recently been at Dexter Lumis’ mercy, but for some reason, Ciampa hasn’t been there to support him. Could he possibly be revealed as the mastermind of the whole thing? A scheme to bring down the Miz? Considering that he has been overshadowed by The Miz since his debut on WWE RAW?
Brock Lesnar Returns
Last week, Brock Lesnar made a return on RAW with the goal of resolving some issues with Bobby Lashley, the former United States Champion. You might recall that The All Mighty defeated the other in the Royal Rumble in January of last year thanks to a Roman Reigns interference.
Although he didn’t pin Lashley to do it, Lesnar did technically win back the championship from him at the Elimination Chamber. The match is rumored to take place at Crown Jewel this time, and it should be announced soon. Lashley summoned The Beast Incarnate to speak with him in person this week because he was upset with how things turned out last week. Finally, the anticipated confrontation will take place.
Therefore, it is clear that WWE has left a trail of clues for a possible showdown between the two. Fans may anticipate WWE to officially announce this big match at Crown Jewel given the former WWE Champion’s scheduled appearance on Monday night. Not to mention that the two have a long history together, thus it would be “best for the business” if WWE reignited their feud.
We do know that Lesnar enjoys his “payday,” though. Could the seemingly unexpected benefactor Seth Rollins be stuffing The Beast’s pockets with money? Two fascinating possibilities could result from this for the individuals.
Imagine a financial alliance forming between The Beast and The Visionary, which brings together Bobby Lashley and Daniel Cormier. A match like this would have tremendous crossover appeal. The first significant step in that direction might be Lesnar’s heel turn on WWE RAW. The simplest way to accomplish this is for Lesnar to help Rollins in winning the championship match versus Riddle.
