Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, a former WWE diva and manager, rose to prominence quickly while working for the company and held the record for most downloads in 1996.
She also worked for independent circuits, WCW, and other pro wrestling promotions. After being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, Sunny went on to work in the adult film industry.
Sunny once claimed to have dated former WWE champion and Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels for nine months during her professional career. She was romantically associated with Bret Hart as well.
During an unscripted promo, Shawn Michaels mentioned Sunny and said, “Sunny Days,” which fueled the ongoing rivalry between him and Bret Hart.
Reason for Tammy “Sunny” Sytch getting arrested
Sunny, a former WWE Hall of Famer, dealt with a number of legal problems in 2012, including five arrests for disorderly conduct in the course of four weeks. She was then arrested three more times for DUI in 2013 and again in 2015.
Regretfully, Sunny and Lasseter, a 75-year-old man, were involved in a deadly vehicle accident on March 25, 2022. Lasseter didn’t make it. Sunny was seen driving quickly, according to witnesses, and the toxicology report revealed that she had consumed alcohol.
Following an investigation, a judge declared Sunny to be a risk to society on November 27. She was sentenced to eight years of probation and seventeen and a half years in prison. With a heartfelt apology, Sunny said, “I would bring Mr. Lasseter back and take his place immediately.”
Sunny, the first-ever diva in WWE history, was named the 12th greatest manager in WWE history and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
In all, Sytch was charged with eight counts: driving while license suspended with death, four counts of DUI causing bodily harm, two counts of DUI causing property damage, and DUI manslaughter. She pleaded not guilty to these charges in August.
What happened at the site?
Two cars that were stopped at a traffic signal in Ormond Beach, Florida, were involved in a traffic incident on March 25, 2022. Unable to stop, a third car heading south on US Highway 1 struck one of the stationary cars.
A chain reaction was initiated when the involved vehicle collided with the preceding one. The second car’s driver, Julian Lasseter, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver and passengers of the third vehicle chose not to seek medical attention at the hospital despite being hurt. It has been reported that the driver, Sytch, had a blood alcohol content more than four times higher than what Florida allowed.
