WWE is travelling to WrestleMania 40, and show-by-show, the match cards are being verified. The decision was made by both Royal Rumble winners to confirm their championship matchups at Mania.
Two World title matches between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre and Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch were confirmed for Mania through elimination chamber matches.
Two additional WrestleMania matches, however, were also scheduled for the Elimination Chamber 2024 in Perth, according to a backstage report.
Dave Meltzer has confirmed 40 matches for WrestleMania
WWE has confirmed two matches for WrestleMania 40 from the Elimination Chamber show, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Daily Update. According to Meltzer, Mania is scheduled to include AJ Styles vs. LA Knight and Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton.
“Those within WWE have verified the two matches that yesterday’s event seemed to set up: AJ Styles vs. LA Knight and Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton, following the Chamber show. Both are currently on the Mania list.
There are rumours that the attack that occurred during the men’s elimination chamber match caused both of the matches to be made. After getting eliminated, Logan Paul attacked Randy Orton with the Brass Knuckles, and Styles hit Knight with the steel chair while travelling halfway across the world.
Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton is probably going to be for the United States Championship if the reports are accurate. But it appears that Kevin Owens isn’t quite done with Logan Paul just yet. We will have to wait to find out the outcome of the Maverick bout at WrestleMania 40 as there has been no official confirmation from WWE.
On his X, Logan Paul also shared a video of himself knocking out Randy Orton, captioning it “Randy Knocked Out.” Following his attack on LA Knight, AJ Styles declared that he would harm anybody who came in his path.
WrestleMania 40 matches that are confirmed thus far: To win the WWE Women’s Championship, Bayley will face IYO SKY, Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Universal Championship, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre square off for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch will compete for the Women’s World Championship.
