So far in the series, Dex has been manipulating the entirety of Arcadia with ease, and things have started to get even more devastating.
Dex started by taking control of the slimes and destroying the beginner’s town, but now he has moved on to the big guns, like taking down an entire kingdom or destroying the armies of entire rebellions.
Making it even worse, Dex evaded the death penalty by manipulating an innocent player into becoming the Lich Argaymer.
She easily accepted the offer as she gained a lot of power, but as soon as she conquered the kingdom, Dex returned to kill her and obtain even more plausibility! Witness the death of Death’s Legion and another victory for our greatest troll in World’s Strongest Troll Chapter 40!
World’s Strongest Troll Chapter 39: Recap
The Maroon Kingdom has been sent into turmoil as the forces of the evil camps advance further toward the Maroon Kingdom Capital Fortress. The young prince, who is just a mere child, gets filled with fear as he wonders what his father would’ve done if he was healthy.
The commanders of the kingdom urge the young prince to escape the imperial capital as soon as he can so that he can preserve the king’s body and reclaim the capital later.
The Young Prince prince turns down such blasphemous requests as running away would mean that he would abandon his fellow soldiers and citizens.
Another commander tells the Prince that a lot of adventurers are currently defending the fortress, which puts him at ease as he believes they would be able to stop the evil forces with their help, but his hope is short-lived as a soldier comes running towards his meeting.
The soldier announces that countless enemies have appeared outside the fortress, which terrifies the young prince even more. Meanwhile, Black Flame Dragon of Darkness(or Death’s Legion) stands in front of the gates of the fortress and looks at the current quest.
She gets worried as the players on the evil camp side have started to fall, meaning that the requirements of the quest could be met before she takes over the fortress. She doesn’t get much worried, though, as this means she can test out her powers to their full extent now.
She orders Argaymer to use his abilities, and they use soul necromancy to bring forth the army of the undead. Argaymer commends Death’s Legion for being able to use his strength to such a high degree and states that his strength now is equivalent to that of an apostle, which means that these mere humans can’t stop her.
She commands her forces to charge forward, and the adventurers guarding the fortress get crushed mercilessly, opening up the gates.
Death’s Legion enters the fortress and finds it empty. She feels sorry for all the people who laid their lives for such a pathetic ruler who ran away when faced with adversity. She then walks towards the throne and sits on top of it to obtain sovereignty over the Maroon Kingdom.
The Quest “Witch’s hunt” also comes to an end with the evil camp declared victorious. Death’s Legion feels happy as she conquers a kingdom for the first time in this game, but suddenly someone comes knocking on her door.
Jaehyoung(or Dex) is here, and his intentions don’t seem to be good. Death’s Legion immediately realizes that he’s no ordinary person as he was able to get past her defenses, and he still has a confident expression.
Argaymer also gets baffled by the ominous holy power emitting from Jaehyoung, and he suddenly notices the holy sword in Jaehyoung’s hand as it’s the same sword that killed him during the war. Argaymer starts trembling with fear, and Death’s legion gets branded with Death. Jaehyoung strikes her with the sword, which should spell her demise.
