Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty Season 2 Episode 7 will be the finale of this second season, and what a great season this has been so far.
After winning another NBA title only to lose the very next year, it is a long way back down the mountainside as the Lakers have to rebuild their team, and in doing so, they lose a key player in the process. Meanwhile, all relationships are rekindled, and others are destroyed.
It is the 1982 NBA Finals, and the Lakers win against the Sixers four to two, and it is time to celebrate. Now, despite all the controversy surrounding the team, I’m talking about Paul Weston being fired and replaced by Pat Riley, talking about Magic Johnson being paid the highest contractor NBA in sports History and creating some tension on the team while doing so.
Regardless of all that controversy, they won. Magic has a new mindset, which is he wants to stay on top and his goal is to continue to win. As we see a picture in this locker with the headline running, “When will Magic face off against Larry Bird?”

Before diving into Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty Season 2 Episode 7, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. Now, I do want to point out that the episode didn’t bring this up, but Magic Johnson did win his second Finals MVP at the age of 23; I really wish they would have pointed that out.
Number one, it would have had more credibility for him to earn that money from Doctor Buzz. But also, it would have shown Larry Bird, who’s really on top. So, I wish we would have spent a little more time on highlighting that because Magic Johnson was the best player on the team during that run.
But we Fast forward a year ahead; it is 1983. The Lakers face off against the 76ers yet again as they will try to recapture winning their championship back-to-back seasons, and doing so would be the first team to do that in 14 years.
And the last team to do it well, you guess, was the 1969 Boston Celtics. A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 7 of Winning Time Season 2 will be released and what will happen in it.

At the time of writing, only 7 episodes were scheduled for this second season, so most likely, episode 7 will be the finale, and this second season will end with it.
The Synopsis of Episode 7 is as follows: “The Lakers and Celtics’ rivalry reached new heights when the 1984 NBA Finals got underway. Buss fights against a lawsuit that might change his life, Claire might declare bankruptcy once more, and Jeanie wonders if she belongs in the professional sports world. Later, in their first Finals matchup, Earvin and Larry fight it out until the bitter end.”
