This show does a terrific job of illuminating the rich inner lives of two autistic people who are extremely different from one another. Like Packham, Flo (a participant on the show) is a “high-functioning autism” autistic who mimics allistic behavior during the day but “unmasks” at night. Even though she appears joyful when she nods and smiles, she prefers to ignore the temptations to glaze over or flail her arms throughout the day.
