House of the Dragon Episode 11 release date is what fans are curious about, and well, we have just the right information for you guys. Also, if you haven’t watched the 10th episode yet, this article is full of spoilers so read at your own risk. Back in the 10th episode of the season titled The Black Queen, we saw the setting shift entirely to Dragonstone, the Targaryen family seat.
Here, Princess Rhaenys has finally returned to Rhaenyra and breaks the news to her about how Aegon has usurped her throne. Before that, though, we see the cutest little moment shared between Rhaenyra and Lucerys, where she says she will support her when he becomes the Lord of Tides and rule Driftmark.
Now that Rhaenyra hears this horrifying news, she immediately goes into labor. This is a very painful childbirth for her, and she is continuously screaming. At the same time, Daemon is out there summoning their best allies at hand and trying to plot a scheme for the war. Mid screams, and Rhaenyra sends Rhaenys to call out for her boys while they are practicing sword fighting.
She commands them to not take any orders or start a war unless she says so. She specifically asks Jacaerys to look forward to her wish. Now that Daemon is confirmed that war is inevitable, he threatens the people with his dragon Caraxes claiming that if they betray Rhaenyra on the battlefield, they will die and traitor’s death.
House of the Dragon Episode 10 Recap
As Rhaenyra gives birth, she asks her handmaidens not to touch her at all. Major trigger warning for all the people who do not like the sight of blood. This episode was brutal as Rhaenyra pushed a dead child out of her belly and, while his head came out, pulled him out herself.
A pyre is then arranged in order for her to grieve the death of her newborn as Daemon and Rhaenyra both mourn the loss. Soon, Ser Erryk reaches the pyre and swears his fealty to the Queen. Along with him, he also brings the crown which her father once used to wear. Daemon then crowns Rhaenyra as the Queen, and everybody bends their knee to her.
Now, Ser Otto Hightower visits Dragonstone to offer peace and alliance between the Greens and the Blacks. He also asks Rhaenyra to swear fealty to Aegon and bend the knee as he shall bestow his grace upon them and not start a war. While Rhaenyra is thinking about the offer, Daemon goes to the dragon pit in Dragon Stone and wakes up Vermithor. He is the second largest dragon in Westeros after Vhagar and would be the only one who would be able to stand against the mighty beast in war. On the other hand, we see that Lord Corlys has also returned from his voyage and war.
Vhagar kills Lucerys
After talking with his wife and making a plan, he swears fealty to Rhaenyra for the sake of his grandchildren. Now that they want to make out their allies, upon their request, Rhaenyra sends Prince Jacaerys to the North for Winterfell and Lucerys towards Storm’s End for House Baratheon. We see that Lucerys reaches the castle amidst heavy rainfall and lightning. Here, Lord Baratheon denies his offer, while Aemond is also present with his dragon Vhagar.
In an attempt to scare him away, Vhagar accidentally gets out of control and kills Lucerys and his dragon. This news reaches Rhaenyra, and we know by that look she is ready for war. This was the indication that the Dance of the Dragons has officially begun as the Greens landed their first blow resulting in Luke’s death.
