There have already been many twists and turns along the way to WrestleMania 40, making it a roller coaster ride. The 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes hinted that he would give The Rock his slot, but he took it.
Rock has just joined The Bloodline after opposing Roman Reigns. There have been rumours that The Rock would turn on Roman Reigns because of the many turns and turns along the way. Thus, we examine a few of the options here.
The Rock wants Roman Reigns
For a very long time, The Rock has been making jokes about facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Although it was said to be finalized, The Rock’s recent character change looks questionable. Although there isn’t a developed plot between Rock and Roman, they are still interested in the match.
Rock turning on Roman at WrestleMania 40 might lead to a potential storyline between them and a match at a later date, most likely WrestleMania 41.
Rock & Cody’s secret plan
Before regretting his SmackDown match against Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes claimed to have received guidance from The Rock, a special counsel. It would appear that part of their plan involves The Rock betraying Roman after winning his trust. To assist Cody win the Universal title, The Rock would have struck a contract with him.
Rock teased it on SmackDown
During the SmackDown with The Bloodline episode, Rock referred to Roman Reigns and threatened to use his influence to ensure that “you walk out of WrestleMania what you are, which is a loser.” Then, as The Bloodline pointed their ones up, The Rock made the letter “L” motion, which some speculate was a joke on Roman Losing at Mania.
The Rock wants to be The Tribal Chief
Rock joined The Bloodline, but as of right now, no one knows for sure who the Tribal Chief is. This may lead to an ego battle between them while they are travelling, which might turn Rock against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. Rock mentioned earlier that on Raw Day 1, he was The Head of the Table. This suggests that the Tribal Chief/Head of the Table status could be betrayed.
