Why was Piers Morgan fired from CNN?
Piers Morgan was fired from CNN due to a fall in ratings. The networking giant axed the Piers Morgan Live as the rating took a sharp dip and also seemed to not connect with the American primetime audiences on a successful level.
It was further reported that CNN president Jeff Zucker asked host Piers Morgan if it was time for the show to end. Contrary to what the network said, many speculated that Piers Morgan was fired due to the phone hacking controversy.
CNN’s Allison Gollust cleared the air by saying that the decision to axe the shoe had nothing to do with the hacking interview while adding that the date of the final episode of Piers Morgan Live is yet to be determined.

Morgan, who has earlier made headlines for his controversial take on the royal drama, recently stated that he is very disappointed that Harry is going to be there and is also disappointed with Charles but pointed out how he completely understands it as a father and why Charles felt the need to do this.
Morgan further aimed the series and the memoir that Prince Harry has penned down, saying how they have been damaging the institution of the monarchy, and then they have the brass neck, and now he is turning up at the coronation.
