Zabit’s Retirement From UFC: Here Is Why
Zabit solely took the decision and left UFC. Well, later, in an interview, Zabit opened up about the “main reason” why he hung up his gloves. What was that? He was unable to fight as “UFC didn’t keep a promise” made to him. They didn’t give him a title shot which they promised earlier. It made him mad.
Some fans wondered if Zabit Magomedsharipov would make a comeback later. But, no, that’s not in his plan anymore. On this note, he said, “The time passed. I don’t have such a desire. I want to do it when I see someone fighting.” So, it was made for good only, and he doesn’t seem to have any hard feelings now.
Concerning Zabit’s retirement, he mentioned that there were several reasons. He shared that many refused to fight with him, following which he stayed idle for a couple of years. It was also about his injuries, following which he used to stay sick and didn’t recover fast.

That turned out to be another reason behind leaving UFC. He had his lingering health, which made him suffer a lot. When asked about the comeback, Zabit further added, saying, “When I join their training camp, me and other friends. There could be a wish. I have to think.”
On the occasion of his retirement from UFC, Zabit was asked if he would become a coach. In response to this, he said, “It could be. Why not?” However, he specified that he would love to teach the sport to “children” and not adults.
