William Donovan Levis, the American football QB, has made a name for himself, but what was he doing before that? Currently, Levis plays for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League, simply known as the NFL. But, before that, the 24-year-old football quarterback studied at Penn State, which stands for Pennsylvania State University.
Before his career began professionally, Levis used to play college football at Penn State and later, Kentucky. His skills and hard work finally led him to the glorious path of the NFL.
Hailing from a family full of talented sports people, Levis knew what he wanted to do and was meant forever since he was young. Surprisingly, he fell in the draft until he was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the 33rd overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The 2023 NFL Draft was held outside of Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri. This annual meeting started on 27th April and was concluded on 29th April 2023.
He began the season as the 3rd string QB behind Ryan Tannehill, aged 35, and Malik Willis, aged 24. But, before his career began at the NFL, Will was a student, and let’s get into his past as a student at college.
Will Levis’s Time At Penn State Wasn’t Fun For Him
Will attended Penn State from 2018 to 200 and later transferred to the University of Kentucky in 2021. He believed that he needed his opportunity to shine, which was becoming impossible at Penn State.
The young football quarterback had confidence in himself and thought he was the best quarterback in the country, and nobody could tell him otherwise. And he ought to, with his immense talent and dedication; he was really one of the best.
So, Will graduated from Penn State in three years and took his chance by transferring to Kentucky. He got into the university in 2021 and was thrilled at this new possibility. After sitting back, this opportunity opened the doors to a new, possible future for him, which was earlier looking bleak.
Will knew that he was going to gain some much-needed experience, which was essential at the time of his career at Penn State, but when that didn’t happen, it hit him hard. He was beyond frustrated and felt like his talent was rusting, sitting behind when he should be a part of all the action.
Hence, he decided to leave Penn State behind to listen to this calling. Kentucky was one of the first schools Will had talked to, so he was excited and looking forward to this new chapter in his life. And when he did begin it, he didn’t have to look back from then onwards because they wanted him and believed in him, which was enough.
William Donovan Levis And His Huge Dreams That Came True With Kentucky
Will wanted to be a starting quarterback, and his journey at Kentucky meant getting one step closer to his dream – the dream of playing for the NFL. This change could help him achieve just that – pursue his ultimate goal of playing in the NFL one day in the future.
That’s where Penn State didn’t work for Will. The chances of that happening looked bleak at Penn since the coaching staff didn’t know the best way to move forward with his talent. Tired of waiting, Will announced his plans of leaving Penn behind to run towards his bright future to his parents.
Thankfully, his parents supported him as they started talking about it more and more. Although they first believed he was at the right place at the wrong time when he was at Penn State, they didn’t force their choices on him, leaving him to decide his path. Surprisingly, with Kentucky, it was like Will and Kentucky were meant to be, and they worked out well.
Will Levis made a decision, and that’s how he ended up leaving Penn State behind, which led him to the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League. Now, the football QB is living his dream, and we are sure it’s just the beginning for him!
