Guessing and judging celebrities, who have gone to lengths to hide their identities, on their singing abilities is more or less what the judges of the American reality competition show, The Masked Singer do. The show recently wrapped its tenth season successfully and we finally, not only have a winner but also know the identities of all this season’s participants.
This Fox reality show is unique in its theme and the staff is known to go the extra mile to ensure the celebrities participating do not get caught by the public. This tenth season was a tough competition between the final four contestants, including Sea Queen, Gazelle, Donut, and Cow.
Fans had been cheering for their favorites and finally, the judges decided to announce Cow as the winner of the season, who happened to be singer-songwriter, Ne-Yo, who is known to have won three Grammy awards throughout his career.
Donut, who placed second in the competition, turned out to be famous singer and actor, John Schneider, who is known most for his role in The Dukes of Hazzard and Smallville. The third place was bagged by the actress from Pretty Little Liars and To All The Boys film series, Janel Parrish, or as we knew her, Gazelle.
Finally, the fourth place was secured by Sea Queen, or popular singer, Macy Gray. With the season done and wrapped, fans have now started questioning the next season of the reality series. Lucky for them, the release of a new season has already been renewed and announced.
The producers of the show have promised to come back for fans with more amazing voices, grand costumes, and surprising celebrities behind the masks ready to knock our socks out. We are yet to meet the cast of the new season, or even find out about the theme of the eleventh season but the excitement is surely high, especially with it not being too long since the end of the current season.
But while we are already anticipating a new season, there has also been some sad news for fans. We are talking about the absence of a certain judge from the next season and here is all you need to know about it.
Nicole Scherzinger won’t be in TMS Season 11
Up until the tenth season of The Masked Singer we had Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Nicole Scherzinger as the judging panel of the show, who along with host Nick Cannon, made it an absolute treat to watch.
But with the wrap of the new season, we have been told that one of the judges, Nicole Scherzinger has decided to bid goodbye to the show for a while. The former member of The Pussycat Dolls has decided to step away from taking guesses and judging and we have known of this for a while now.
She is known to have provided great entertainment through the show but now wishes to put her talent elsewhere. Many assumed that she would be taking a break from the industry for a while but as it turns out Nicole has other promises to fulfill, which has forced her into leaving the show, albeit only for a little while.
She revealed to her fans early this year that she had been cast for the West End stage revival of Sunset Boulevard and she had accepted the offer. The show is set to run in theatre for at least sixteen weeks, during which Nicole has to be present for the entire time.
So it does not seem that her absence from The Masked Singer is permanent, might be only for the upcoming season. Wanting to prove her talent and her worth in the industry, the singer was forced to choose between the two and she went with Sunset Boulevard.
While we know just how much Nicole loves being part of the reality show, fans will have to settle with Rita Ora as her replacement for the show’s upcoming season. The British singer has been a part of the judging panel for the UK version of the show so we are sure that she will do great at the American version as well.
And though she will be just as fun a judge as Nicole, we do believe that Nicole will be back on the panel as the judge in the twelve season.
