This Christmas, popular band Bring Me The Horizon left many fans surprised after they announced that Jordan Fish, the lead keyboardist of the group, was no longer going to be working with them or performing on tours. While the group won’t be the same anymore, Bring Me The Horizon confirmed that they would be going ahead with the tour as usual.
First formed in 2004, Bring Me The Horizon is a rock band consisting of members Oliver Sykes, Lee Malia, Matt Kean, and Matt Nicholis. The main vocal singer of the group is Oliver, while Jordon used to be the lead keyboardist in all of their performances.
It was BMTH’s second album that took their music and popularity to another level, shifting from just rock music to something more complex and attractive. Jordan had joined the group at a time when BMTH was just starting out, making him an important member throughout the band’s history.
Why Did Jordan Fish Leave Bring Me The Horizon?
A few days before Christmas, BMTH’s official social media account came out with a statement that revealed Jordan Fish was going to leave the band and the rest of the band members would continue to prepare for Nex Gen and the UK tour.
The statement also thanked Jordan for the time he had spent for the group and the amazing music journey that continues to be an inspiration for many. While this post lacks any clarification of why Jordan was making this sudden decision, the keyboardist posted a story on his IG account that added a little context.
Jordan’s story revealed that he was likely leaving Birng Me The Horizon to focus on working as a songwriter and music composer. Seeing both BMTH and Jordan’s posts, there seems to be no animosity or bitter feelings between any of the members.
Jordan also said that he loved spending time with BMTH all these years and looks forward to hearing their new music soon, even if he isn’t going to be a part of all the chaotic yet fun experiences. While it’s heartbreaking to see such a great band lose one of its essential members, BMTH will likely continue releasing their music and performing exciting new tours.
Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile we continue to work on Nex Gen, with brand new music coming very soon.

Jordan will now be focusing on a different part of his life, where instead of working as a keyboardist and frequently going on tours all over the world, he’ll have a chance to rest for a while and make music at his own pace. Being a part of a band is very hectic, and a band like BMTH would likely have a packed schedule all the time.
For now, many fans await the release of the new album and the upcoming tours that the “Suicide Season” band had promised a while back. BMTH’s new album had been postponed earlier, but there’s no news confirming that it was due to Jordan leaving the group.
Judging by their statement, the postponement was likely due to BMTH wanting to make their new album stand out from the rest of their music. With so many hit albums like There Is A Hell, That’s The Spirit, and Amo, it’s going to be exciting to see what kind of new music they’ll be coming out with now.
Jordan Fish: All About The Keyboardist
Born and raised in England, Jordan first used to be a keyboardist for a band called Worship but later joined Bring Me The Horizon in 2013. Although BMTH was already on the path to attaining immense popularity, Jordan’s addition made its music stand out and reach quite a lot of people all over the world.
Together, their first album was Sempiternal, an album that changed BMTH’s direction for good. The band’s rock genre music was already great, but when Jordan joined the group, it became the kind of music that was played on radios all over the country.
Besides being the lead keyboardist, Jordan also used to be a backing vocalist and synthesizer player. The songs were usually written by Oliver Sykes, with help from Jordan Fish.
This shows that Jordan already had the experience needed to be a songwriter, and now that he has decided to leave the group to focus on just that, he’s likely going to have a successful career soon. For now, Jordan is focusing on creating his image and writing songs that reach the hearts of many.
