It was on Thursday that Netflix announced that season seven of the hit series will premiere on November 3rd, and with the news came new promotional photos.
In the first photo that surfaced online, Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan, Chelsea Razkani, Bre Tiesi, Mary Fitzgerald, and Nicole Young stand alongside Jason and Brett Oppenheim.
In another image that also surfaced online, several women appear to be walking on an airport tarmac on their way to a sunny destination. In another case, the women in O’s group have dinner with her boss, where they toast.
Heather Rey El Moussa, who has been on the series since the first season, is noticeably missing from the picture. ET has learned that Heather Rae was not called back to film after her maternity leave.
Heather last appeared in Season 6, where she was pregnant with her first child with her husband, Tarek El Moussa. The real estate agent welcomed his son, Tristan, in February.
Has Heather Rae quit Selling Sunset?
According to the Oppenheim Group’s website, Heather confirmed that she has not left Selling Sunset and is still working as an agent in the West Hollywood office. Apparently, it was Netflix that made the decision not to invite her for season 7.
After the trailer for her seventh installment was released, Heather took to Instagram to talk about her own absence. I feel like I’ve been pushed into the water. I’m glad I was able to swim!” Congratulations on passing S7, girls,” she wrote, adding, “Maybe you’ll see me in a few episodes.”
It’s nice to hear she’ll make small appearances throughout the season, but without any real explanation, Heather quietly transitioned from being a major character in the series to a supporting role.
How about Heather Leaving the Oppenheim Group?
As of the release of Season 7 on November 3, Selling Sunset’s creative team has yet to address Heather’s departure from the series. For viewers hoping that Heather will still appear on the show in a minor role, as Maya did before she left last year, Heather is still part of the Oppenheim Group as a member of the brokerage firm. Heather and Tarek shared their excitement for Season 2 on Instagram, writing: “The houses we flip are crazier, we take more risks, and we’re more proactive in the design of each flip. We balance business with kids and newborns, and… they will take you on all your journeys, the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
