Reason Behind Guns N’ Roses Break Up: What Happened To The Rock Band?
Guns N’ Roses break up started making headlines with Slash leaving the band. The lead guitarist reportedly left in 1996 as he had a feud with the frontman, Axl Rose. But, it was later found that the moon-walk legend Michael Jackson played a role, partially. What went wrong?
It all happened when Slash played a tribute concert with Michael Jackson in 1991. The Guns N’ Roses frontman, Axl Rose didn’t want him to do that because of some obvious reasons. Axl was reportedly molested by his father at the age of 2. Also, he used to believe the charges against Michael Jackson. Well, Slash played that because of receiving a big-screen television. Knowing this, Axl was highly devastated as Slash didn’t support him. The abusive behavior towards the child was never a matter which could be forgiven. And, Slash never apologized to him.
It was the personal tension between the two. In October 1996, Slash left Guns N’ Roses and continued to work with Michael Jackson. Since then, Axl isn’t in touch with him, and once shared that he would never play with him. But, Slash seemed to have rejoined again in 2016.
Another factor that led to the Guns N’ Roses break up was reported to be Axl Rose’s control issues. His behavior hinted at his willingness for demanding complete ownership and control of the band. Also, a few of the group members didn’t appreciate his tendency to delay the band’s performance, every time. Slash was one of those members.
The Guns N’ Roses break up was not just limited to Slash. It also included Izzy Stradlin who left in November 1991. That was right after the Use Your Illusion Tour. Not everyone knows that he was highly addicted to drugs. Axl, the frontman of the band, warned him repeatedly and asked him to stop the consumption. But, he failed. Moreover, Izzy got frustrated with Axl’s demands.
It was also later reported that the other team members didn’t want to “split the loot equally.” This thing seemed to be the real reason behind his declination from Guns N’ Roses. One good thing is Izzy has gotten sober now. That’s good for his health.
Well, Guns N’ Roses break up also calls for the discussion of why Steven Adler left in 1990. Not everyone knows that he didn’t leave the rock band willingly but was fired. Why? That was because of his heroin addiction. Steven became a mess back at that time, especially when it was to his standards.
At present, Guns N’ Roses is doing great though. We are eagerly waiting for the band’s next release.
