Star Wars: Tales of Jedi was released in October 2022 on the OTT platform, Disney+. It was the animated successor of the Star Wars Franchise. The series has six episodes and better explains and is divided into two parts. The first part shows Ahsoka Tano and her various points, and the second part is all about Count Dooku’s fall.
If you follow Star Wars, you must have noticed that Emperor Sheev Palpatine has always been a villain, and the corruption which existed in the galaxy was a driving force for the Emperor’s evil thoughts. He used to manipulate his Senate members in such a way that he ultimately gets successful in his motive.
For the Jedi, senators’ corruption was a major trouble as the Jedi Order was twisted and turned with the Senators. Also, this order was already in the heads of the Jedi Council’s directives and maximum citizens.
Those who used to oppose senators’ corruption and used rally around the galaxy were facing difficulty while taking help from the Jedi Order as it was not completely in their support. After a couple of episodes, we see how Count Dooku is convinced to help people, but his method is so wrong that it eventually leads him to his fall. It is also said that Dooku didn’t turn to Sith from Jedi at once. The platform was laid much earlier.
When Did Count Dooku’s Fall Start?
It all starts in the second episode, ‘Justice’, when Dooku and Padawan Qui-Gon Jinn are determined to punish the kidnapper of Senator Dagonet’s Son. Dooku discovered that the entire village was behind the kidnapping, and guess what! Dagonet was the mastermind here. He exploited his citizens and used them to fulfill his desires. His son used to oppose him, but he was captured. When Dooku was about to kill Dagonet by choking him, he stopped because of Dagonet’s son. After that, Dooku regretted his action a lot as this was not the way he should be punishing someone.
At the end of the episode, we see Dagonet’s Soldiers rebuild the planet. Here, we could see a slight change in Dooku’s behavior, but it was not his fall. In the third episode, ‘Choices,’ we see that the corruption of the Senate was not up to one or a couple of planets. Dooku and Mace Windu planned to travel to another planet which was Raxus Secondus, to find the body of Master Khatri. While they were investigating, Dooku started collecting points and discovered that the planet’s Senator, Larik was a puppet to Raxus Secondes’s rebellions were Larik.
The Senator here was too corrupt and used people for their gain. Later, Dooku shows sympathy for the rebels as they are not supporting the Senate’s corruption, just like him. Dooku left the Jedi Order and formed a Separatist movement, and Raxus Secondus became an important spot for them. Well, this is just a spark to Count Dooku’s fall. The confirmed scenario comes to light when the fourth episode ends.

Why Did Count Dooku Turn To The Dark Side?
After getting an idea, we can figure out that Count Dooku is turning to the dark side. In episode 4, ‘The Sith Lord,’ everything will be more clear when it shows us Count Dooku’s turn to the dark side. Dooku gets recruited by Emperor Palpatine, and after Qui-Gon’s death, Dooku weakens enough. He is now no longer into good lights. Yaddle tries to convince him to get into the lights back.
On the other hand, Palpatine convinces him, too, and Palpatine wins as his convincing skill is much stronger than Yaddle’s. Count Dooku ends up killing Yaddle on Palpatine’s order. Dooku ultimately rises as Sith Lord.
The murder of Yaddle at the hands of Dooku certainly points to how much Dooku fell. Count Dooku was now following Emperor Palpatine and started a civil war on his orders. Jedi Order should have been better in dealing with the Senator’s corruption; meanwhile, Dooku’s fight against corruption in his ways led him to turn to the dark side.
