House renovation shows are always fun to watch, but A&E’s Zombie House Flipping managed to bring something entirely new to the table by renovating “Zombie Homes,” the kind of homes that were abandoned long ago and had fallen victim to the effects of time.
One person we used to see in the initial seasons of Zombie House Flipping was Wiley Jones, a skilled engineer that would help the main house flippers behind the show in transforming their projects from Zombies homes to modern houses that sell for a lot of money.
Although Wiley wasn’t a regular on the show, whenever he would appear in an episode, the restoration was guaranteed to be an amazing one. Jones owes his skills to years of working with his two companies, Bermuda Builders and Construction Engineering, both of which were successful enough to keep them active for years.
Who Is Wiley Jones on Zombie House Flipping?
Born on April 15th, 1952, in Louisiana, a determined Wiley Jones went on to pursue a career in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas. Jones knew he had wanted to be an entrepreneur at a young age, and as soon as he was financially stable, Wiley Jones started his first company in 1990, the Bermuda Builders. The work of the company spoke for itself, and it went on to operate for more than 28 years.
He later began another company called Construction Engineering in the year 2006. Wiley Jones even became a professor at the University of Louisiana and State College, where he would teach future engineers about construction and the general principles of the work.
No matter how simple or complex the projects assigned to him were, Jones would always carry them out with perfection and produce the best results each time.
It was his success as an engineer in Louisiana that brought him into the sight of producers behind Zombie House Flipping. Converting zombie houses into actual living homes is not an easy task, and that’s why experienced people like Wiley make the job much easier. Jones was a specialist in many things, such as roofing, plumbing, and contracting.
Zombie House Flipping: About The Show
Zombie House Flipping is a popular restoration series that centers around rebuilding zombie homes and has been airing on A&E since January 30th, 2023.
Each episode features Ashlee Casserly, Justin Stamper, and Keith working together along with house renovation experts to bring life back to abandoned homes and then sell them at a higher price, bringing in huge profits.
Although house flipping is nothing new, what makes Zombie House Flipping so different is that the houses we see on this show are desperately in need of attention. They have either been left alone for years or were ready to be demolished. Such houses tend to sell at lower prices, giving our team of Zombie House flippers a better budget management plan.
Each episode begins with Keith, Ashlee, and Justin exploring the house they want to renovate. They come up with a general and vague idea at first and then start working on it after getting the right groups involved. After completing their projects, the flippers try to sell it at a higher price, one that would make all the effort that went into redesigning worth it.
Zombie House Flipping: Wiley Jones Passes Away
Very little is known about Wiley Jones from Zombie House Flipping, as he wasn’t a main character on the show. It is believed that Wiley Jones, born Wiley Edwin Jones, passed away at the age of 69 years old on July 22nd, 2021.
It’s sad to see a great man who was an expert at what he did pass away, but Jones leaves behind many great memories with the people he loved and the audiences that managed to capture a glimpse of his great personality before his death.
Wiley Jones is survived by his six children that he had with his wife of 47 years, Karen Elizabeth McBryde Jones. A man that was just as fond of people as he was of nature and earth, Wiley Jones leaves a legacy of great work and love with us.
