Jason Alexander, best known for his role as George Costanza on Seinfeld, has been married to Daena Title since 1982. Their enduring marriage has spanned more than four decades, built on love, mutual respect, and unwavering support.
Title, an accomplished artist, has also made a brief appearance on Seinfeld and has pursued a successful career as a feminist expressionist painter.
Their Early Romance and Whirlwind Courtship
Jason Alexander knew early on that Daena Title was special. During a 2015 interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden, he recounted their first date, admitting that he had withdrawn his entire savings—$1,000 at the time—so he could afford to do anything she wanted.
Their first date was at a now-closed restaurant in New York called Café Central, where they were served by none other than Bruce Willis as their waiter and John Goodman as the bartender.
Their relationship progressed rapidly, with the couple moving in together just three weeks after meeting. Within six weeks, Alexander began proposing to Title, but she initially turned him down three times.

Determined to win her over, he eventually took out a billboard in Times Square that read, “Daena, I love you, please marry me, forever – Jason.” This grand romantic gesture worked, and she finally said yes.
The couple married on May 31, 1982, in a ceremony that featured a modernized version of traditional wedding vows.
Title insisted on equality in their vows, ensuring that Alexander also consecrated himself unto her, rather than only the other way around.

Building a Family Together
Alexander and Title share two sons: Gabe Greenspan, born in May 1992, and Noah Greenspan, born in February 1996. The boys share their father’s original last name, Greenspan, before he adopted the stage name “Alexander.” Both of their sons followed careers in the entertainment industry. Gabe is an actor, known for roles in Wayward Guide and Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story. He married Kristina Holliman in 2020, and the couple welcomed a son in 2022, making Alexander and Title proud grandparents. Their younger son, Noah, has pursued a career as a voice actor.
Daena Title’s Career as an Artist
Beyond being the wife of a famous comedian, Daena Title is a well-respected artist in her own right. She describes herself as a feminist expressionist painter, known for vibrant, figurative paintings that explore themes of modern female identity and societal expectations.
Her work has been exhibited in major galleries across the U.S., including in New York, Los Angeles, and Wisconsin.
Title’s passion for art began early. She studied art history and theatre at Wellesley College, graduating in 1979 before moving to Manhattan to pursue acting and writing. While she later transitioned to painting, her early years in theatre helped shape her artistic expression.
Her Connection to Seinfeld
Though she largely stayed out of the spotlight during Seinfeld’s nine-season run, Title made a brief but meaningful appearance in the show’s finale in 1998. She played a member of the jury in the courtroom scene where the main characters were put on trial.
Alexander has expressed gratitude that she got to be part of the show’s history, calling it a special moment for them both.
The Secret to Their Long-Lasting Marriage
In March 2025, Alexander appeared on The Today Show and spoke about his long-lasting marriage. He credited his wife for their enduring love, saying,
“I’m married to a woman who, on my worst day, remembers me on my best day and beckons me back.”
He emphasized that in any long-term relationship, both partners will go through challenges, but the key is never giving up on each other.
Alexander has often described himself as a “lucky man” to have Title as his wife. Their ability to grow together, support one another, and maintain a deep connection has kept their marriage strong for over 40 years.
