Who Does Britta Perry End Up With In Community? Sitcoms were, and are still, loved by the viewers. Years later, viewers still open up an episode from their favorite sitcom when they get bored. Sitcoms truly brought the era of entertainment. And one such sitcom was Community. It wasn’t as famous as most other sitcoms you have heard the names of. It started late in 2009 and ran for a total of six seasons.
Community is a little different from other sitcoms. It has a uniqueness built into evenly distributed stupidity and crazy content. Rather than limiting itself to pop culture references, Community involves criticism from other sitcoms. Britta Perry (played by Gillian Jacobs) is one of the main leads in the show and a student at Greendale Community College. Born in Riverside, California, she grew up in New York City.
Britta joins Jeff’s study group, which Jeff assembled so he can become close to her. She is a lovely and intelligent character and, at the same time, doesn’t understand her feelings.
Which is one of the reasons she dates different people throughout the show. When everything fully began, we thought Jeff and Britta would be the endgame, but that didn’t happen, or I might be lying. Read on to see who Britta ended up with at the end of Community.
Who Does Britta Perry End Up With In Community?
Britta Perry remains single at the end of Community. Yes, you read that right; despite having three good love plots, she finds herself single at the end of the series. It was a shock for everyone since it was a big expectation that she would round up with someone and complete her story. And her last relationship wasn’t even with the guy with the highest prospect, Jeff.
Her last relationship was with Rick, the subway guy. He appeared in Season 3, stayed for an episode, and then disappeared. It was one of the worst decisions the sitcom team could have made. Britta’s friends made fun of her for falling for Rick, who is also popularly known for “selling his identity to work for the subway.” His next appearance was in Season 6, Episode 7, when Britta finally decides that love isn’t for her and parts ways with him.
The least they could have done was, provide an ending to Jeff (played by Joel McHale) and Britta after they decided to marry in Season 5. In Season 5, Greendale suffered a primary issue of being sold to Subway after it faced a liability audit.
Everyone in the “study group” was flushed with emotions to save their college, which prompted Jeff and Britta to make this decision. But at the end of the Season 5 finale, they realize their decision out of desperation and then cancel their plan to get married.
Though they would have made a great couple, many fans have some issues. It is because they have an age difference of 16 years; Jeff was 34, and Britta was 18 when they first met. They had too much chemistry in between, but the team decided well by not giving them an endgame. It would have looked odd for the better part.
The third person Britta dated was Troy. It is unclear when Troy fell in love with Britta, but it did look like he had feelings for Britta. In Season 2, we can see it openly as Troy becomes upset with each of Britta’s relationship endeavors. Finally, in Season 3, Troy asks Britta on a date, but it doesn’t go as planned. Season 4 shows Troy and Britta in a relationship.
They broke up due to their differences, as Troy confessed that he wasn’t serious about the relationship and preferred spending time with Abed more. They became good friends after that and stayed till the end. Well, this ends Britta’s relationship story, briefly anyways. Community had some problems towards the ending seasons with renewal and all. But overall, it is a great sitcom to binge.
