The official website for the “Whisper Me a Love Song” anime announced on Sunday, June 2, 2024, that the broadcast of the remaining episodes will be delayed by approximately two weeks due to production issues. In response, the anime will air two special compilation episodes, titled “Prelude” and “Interlude,” before episodes 9 and 10.
“Whisper Me a Love Song,” based on Eku Takeshima’s yuri manga series, premiered on April 14, 2024, as part of TV Asahi’s NUManimation programming block.
The anime is produced by Cloud Hearts and Yokohama Animation Lab. Initially slated for a January 2024 release, the premiere was postponed to April 2024 due to various circumstances, marking its debut in the Spring 2024 season.

The announcement on June 2 detailed a shift in the broadcast schedule starting from episode 9, with the staff expressing their sincere apologies to fans who have eagerly anticipated the remaining episodes.
According to the revised schedule, the “Prelude” episode, which compiles episodes 1 and 2, will air on June 9, 2024, while the “Interlude” episode, summarizing episodes 3 to 6, will air on June 16, 2024.
Following these special episodes, episode 9 is now set to broadcast on June 23, 2024, and episode 10 on June 30, 2024. The release dates for the final two episodes, 11 and 12, have yet to be announced.
Japanese viewers can watch “Whisper Me a Love Song” on TV Asahi’s NUMAnimation block every Sunday at 1:30 am JST and on AT-X. International fans can stream the series on HIDIVE.
“Whisper Me a Love Song” revolves around high school student Himari Kino, who becomes enamored with her senior, Yori Asanagi, after hearing her band’s performance on the first day of school.
Overwhelmed by her feelings, Himari confesses her love to Yori. Surprisingly, Yori reciprocates, saying she loves Himari too.
However, Himari soon realizes that the love she feels is different from the love Yori expresses. This realization prompts her to explore the true meaning of love.
