When Will Arcane Season 2 Release?
Arcane Season 2 currently appears far off. After becoming a tremendous hit with the service’s users, the highly praised Netflix series will ultimately return to our screens. Unfortunately, it will not happen anytime soon. Arcane’s second season won’t be available until 2023. Even then, the second episode of the animated series probably won’t start filming until the following year, pushing out its release date until the end of 2023 or the start of 2024.
Netflix had confirmed that Arcane’s second season would premiere in November 2021. Co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee expressed their joy in a statement, saying, “We’re beyond thrilled by the positive feedback to Arcane’s first season.” And we’re working hard to deliver our second installment with the imaginative wizards at Riot and Fortiche.

Arcane Season 2 Story
Although the plot of Arcane season two is yet unknown, it is almost certain that Piltover and Zaun will remain central to the story, much as they did in season one. The voices of Jinx, Caitlyn, and Vi can be heard in the final seconds of the Arcane season two announcement teaser, indicating that their storylines will be continued in the future season. Since Arcane’s first season ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, season two is probably going to provide the story of the first season some closure.
That doesn’t mean, though, that the second season won’t also feature an exploration of other parts of Runeterra. While Piltover and Zaun are expected to remain in the spotlight, other areas like Noxus and Demacia might be mentioned. Noxus was hinted at in some ways last season, especially through Mel Medarda’s plot.

Arcane Season 2 Expected Cast
For Arcane’s Season 2 cast, Hailee Steinfeld will reprise her role as Vi, Ella Purnell will reprise her role as Jinx, and Katie Leung will reprise her role as Caitlyn. For Arcane season 2, Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn will all be present. Who else could therefore come back? It will depend on who survives the attack on the Piltover council chamber. As we previously stated, we believe that Jinx’s attack may result in the deaths or injuries of many additional council members in addition to Mel and/or Cassandra. However, we anticipate Jayce to live. In our opinion, he has a bigger part to play, and he’ll undoubtedly want to hold Jinx accountable for her misdeeds.
Ekko and Heimerdinger are also likely to be present in Arcane Season 2. The two should appear again, and we’ll watch to see how their character arcs develop in Arcane’s second season since they weren’t involved in the attack on the council chamber. Despite being present in the council room when Jinx attacked, Viktor should also leave.
