In this post, we will be talking about One Punch Man 2. We all have been waiting for this series for nearly 3 years now and so far, we have very little information on when it can return. I’m this post, I’ll be sharing everything we know so far about One Punch Man Season 2. So let’s get started.
First things first, we don’t have an official release date for One Punch Man 2 yet. What we do know is that it is under works. Viz Media announced a couple of months ago it has secured rights for One Punch Man 2, which basically tells you to be on your toes as the second season could be announced anytime now. One Punch Man Season 2 will be heading to the West as well, and that’s thanks to Viz securing the rights to the show once again.
When Does ‘One Punch Man 2’ Come Out?
We also know that One Punch Man 2 is being handled by J.C staff, so Madhouse won’t be doing it anymore. We don’t know how that’ll affect the quality of the anime, but I’m pretty much expecting it to be great either way.
Coming over to a release date, we don’t know when One Punch Man 2 will be out, but we do know when an announcement for One Punch Man 2 will be made. The staff for One Punch Man made an announcement at Anime Japan, revealing a bit of information on Hikaru Hidorikawa, who has been cast as Garou in the anime. The key news that came out of there was that an anime event will take place later in August, specifically on August 12.
According to multiple sources, this new gathering is going to be called ‘One Punch Man Maji Gakuensai’. It is here where we will see a new trailer and a release date for One Punch Man Season 2 on that day. A 2018 release date isn’t confirmed but could be possible. However, I think One Punch Man 2 will be out by early 2019.
For those of you who don’t know much about One Punch Man, here’s a bit of information on the series:
“The seemingly ordinary and unimpressive Saitama has a rather unique hobby: being a hero. In order to pursue his childhood dream, he trained relentlessly for three years—and lost all of his hair in the process.
Now, Saitama is incredibly powerful, so much so that no enemy is able to defeat him in battle. In fact, all it takes to defeat evildoers with just one punch has led to an unexpected problem—he is no longer able to enjoy the thrill of battling and has become quite bored. This all changes with the arrival of Genos, a 19-year-old cyborg, who wishes to be Saitama’s disciple after seeing what he is capable of.
Genos proposes that the two join the Hero Association in order to become certified heroes that will be recognized for their positive contributions to society, and Saitama, shocked that no one knows who he is, quickly agrees. And thus begins the story of One Punch Man.”
