The Resident season 5 episode 21 will release on May 3, 2022. The official synopsis for the upcoming episode reads, “When one of the doctors is shot outside the hospital, the emergency room is put into lockdown; a patient learns he is unable to receive a transplant due to his vaccination status; Devon and Leela try to juggle the new dynamics of their relationship.” Titled “Risk”, the episode’s writing and directorial credits are currently unknown.
The official trailer for the upcoming outing teases a potentially harrowing development regarding Cade’s fate. As she is leaving the hospital and moving out, someone riddles her with gunshots. The whole ER will be busy trying to save Cade’s life and it seems that the situation is really dire.
