We all know the season finale of Marvel’s WandaVision was quite a lot! after seeing the story of Wand Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, through the past nine episodes. But many may also have some uncleared doubts after watching the season finale. Especially with the Darkhold, we are here to help you. Today, we will explain everything you need to know about the Darkhold from Wandavision.

Before we move on, do note that this article will contain heavy spoilers about the Wandavision series, as it’s nearly impossible to cover Darkhold without breaking into the story and other spoilers of the show. So now that we have told let us get into it.

Let us talk about Darkhold from Wandavision.

In the last episode, we saw Wanda Maximoff finally realize her true self as the Scarlet Witch. She came to this realization after defeating witch Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn, and thus taking possession of the Darkhold. There is no doubt to say that the season finale of this MCU TV series was action-packed.

We saw Vision and White Vision, played by Paul Bettany, going head to head against in a match of brute strength and wits. The season finale also revealed the true identity of Pietro Maximoff, played by Evan Peters. The most interesting in the last episode, among many others, was the introduction of an ancient book called the Darkhold. Agatha describes the as ‘Book of the Damned’.

Agatha helped Wanda make realize that she is a mythical being called the Scarlet Witch. We were all surprised to hear when Agatha revealed that there is an entire chapter about Wanda in the Darkhold!  She reads the lines from this ancient book that The Scarlet Witch is not born but is forged. Her power exceeds that of the Sorcerer Supreme. And tells her that it’s her destiny to destroy the world.

All till now, we have been talking about the Darkhold, and you may wonder What is Darkhold is or how it will affect Phase Four of the MCU? and why was Darkhold in the WandaVision finale? If you have noticed the second post-credit scene, we could see Wanda having the book with her. We could see she was rifling through the pages of the ancient object.

From that, it is natural to guess that she was trying to catching up on everything from the pages of that book. She needs to know within its pages. But if you have thought that Wandavision is the first Marvel TV series to show the dark hold, then you are wrong. Darkhold has appeared in series such as the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Runaways.

The Darkhold is exactly a book of magic and spells that are also known as the Book of Sins/ the Book of Spells. You should know that it is dark, as it was created using dark matter from the Hell Dimension. If we look into the comics, we get an idea about the powers of Darkhold. The book can use to make the reader’s mind corrupted!

Darkhold from Wandavision

Yes! We know that you were also worried about as we do when we came to know about the powers of Darkhold. As Scarlet Witch is currently reading it. We clearly have no idea if her mind will be corrupted by the book. Not only Scarlett but how will the introduction of Darkhold affect the entire Phase Four of the MCU?

Well, the answer for that could only be given by none other than but time itself. We clearly have no idea as if what all the contents are waiting for all the fans on Phase 4. But it is almost confirmed that we could see Wanda together with Doctor Strange. It will be a  series which was a sequel to the Doctor Strange movie, called ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of madness.

What do you think about the introduction of dark hold to the MCU? Will it be able to make a change to the Scarlett Witch and maybe even to the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. If the dark hold can make a change, will it be a good one or a bad one? We have to wait till something comes 0ut.
