George Murdoch, 50, who goes by the name Tyrus, was born in the year 1973 to an 18-year-old father and a 15-year-old mother. His past life has been a little tough for him because of his abusive father, which led his mother to leave the house with his brother and himself. Tyrus and his brother were then brought up in the foster family, where he completed his education and worked towards his dream to become a teacher.
Tyrus has always had a passion for sports, and that is why he was very active in the football team and wanted to pursue it. However, because of his severe operation, he permanently has been suffering from limping, which made him ineligible to play sports like football. But he soon decided to start wrestling which surely was a turning point in his life. Tyrus signed a contract with WWE, aka World Wrestling Entertainment, and made his debut in the ring with the name G-Rilla.
After entering the world of wrestling, there was no going back for Tyrus, and soon he won various championships, such as Slammy Award for WWE, NWA World Television Championship, and Bound For Gold for Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling. In the year 2016, Tyrus went on a little break when he started working for Fox channel as a host for various programs and received admiration for being a great host.
Tyrus never stopped his wrestling career since then, but because of the controversies, he faced many problems in his career with Fox News. He was accused of sexual harassment by his co-worker, and because of this, his fanbase and viewership dramatically decreased. Why Did Tyrus Resign from Fox News?
Since 2016, Tyrus has been the fan-loved host for the various programs of Fox News, such as The Greg Gufeld Show, Dana Perino’s Show, and The Five. All of these shows had a huge viewership because of the outstanding commentary of Tyrus. When Murdoch joined Greg Gutfeld Show, he started using a stage name Tyrus instead of George Murdoch to increase the engagement of the show because he had been the center of attention of the show, and fans always liked seeing him as a commentator.
In the year 2018, Tyrus started working as a permanent host alongside Britt McHenry for the Fox Nation show called UN-PC. While viewers loved this show, they got shocked when they heard that Tyrus was getting replaced by Tom Shilluie in the show UN-PC and Tyrus is getting another show, Nuffsaid, to work on. The reason is McHenry accused Tyrus of sexually harassing her by sending her sexually suggestive messages and pictures.
Fox News informed the viewers that they had taken this issue into account and they did not have the right to talk about internal matters. Until December 2016, both McHenry and Tyrus were diligently working with their respective programs until Britt McHenry decided to file a lawsuit against both Tyrus and Fox News for sexual harassment, which led Fox News to terminate Tyrus from his show.

Fox News decided to contact two law firms to investigate the charges against the company. When asked, Britt McHenry said that she lost the phone where Tyrus used to send her messages. Apparently, in the year 2021, the claim was finally settled on undisclosed terms, and Tyrus was called back for the Gutfeld! As a regular panelist.
However, Britt McHenry resigned from both Fox News and Fox Nation, and when asked, she said that she was proud to have stood up for her rights, and she hoped that she empowered other women who face sexual harassment to do the same. Although she fully stood by the truth of the allegations that she made against Tyrus, she decided to put the matter behind her and move on with her career and look for new opportunities.
As Fox News never acknowledged the accusations that Britt McHenry made on Tyrus, it is hard to tell if he has done anything like sexual harassment or not. However, Tyrus is currently serving with Fox News for the show Gutfeld! And also worked on his current Nuff Said event in Egypt on 11th February 2023.
