You must have seen it all and heard it all by now, the injury Travis suffered recently. The American football quarterback Jordan Travis, who plays for Florida State Seminoles, says his severe leg injury might end his season. The 23-year-old football QB’s left leg was placed in an air cast. Post-injury, the player was seen carted off the field.
He was later rushed out of Doak Campbell Stadium, where the game was being held via ambulance to a hospital. He was injured on the field during the first half of the team’s NCAA college football game. The Seminoles were playing against North Alabama on Saturday, 18th November 2023, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Travis decided to share his feelings via his official Instagram account. On Sunday, he posted some updates, which included pictures of his teammates around him in the hospital room. The player also shared his thoughts on X, previously known as Twitter.
Over that platform, he expressed his gratitude for the wishes and love he got from everyone around him. He also mentioned that due to his injury, his Seminole playing career has come to an end. However, the many memories he created at FSU are something that will never fade.
It must be tough for him, seeing as playing for Florida State University was like a dream come true for Travis. He was not only passionate about his game, but he was also a good player who contributed a lot to the success of the Seminoles. He helped his team, Florida State, maintain a great record this season and even secured a spot in the ACC championship game in December.
It’s sad to know that he won’t be a part of this team anymore and won’t be able to see his team win with him.
What Happened To Jordan Travis?
In the first half of the game, Travis was tackled after a scramble. As a result, his leg got caught underneath a defender, which led to the sudden injury. His leg was reportedly bent at an awkward angle, which means this might be more serious than it looks. The QB also had an air cast on his left leg and was quickly taken off the ground in a cart.
Although we know his leg injury was severe, nothing specific has been revealed yet. Travis might not be able to play the next game, but he is excited for his teammates and says that their job isn’t done yet. Travis, despite his injury, was seen arriving for the morning practice on Wednesday. His resilience and dedication to this game and his team are commendable.
What Will Happen Now: Jordan’s Future Looks Uncertain
With an injury, it’s hard for Travis to follow his original plans. The player will most likely have to go to rehab first for the injury, and later, he might be able to enter the NFL Draft. If this hadn’t occurred, then it’s speculated that he would have been one of the top picks for the NFL.
But there’s no point in going down the road of What Ifs. Jordan is a talented player, no doubt, and as soon as he recovers, he will hopefully be chosen by a great team.
The Seminoles will play against Florida [5-6] on Saturday, and it will air at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. With Travis gone, the team will bring Tate Rodemaker as its quarterback for the next game. It’s also assumed that Brock Glenn, a freshman, will be joining the team as a backup.
Since nothing has been announced officially, everyone is holding their breath, waiting for Coach Mike Norvell’s weekly press conference on Monday.
