Sadly, just the day before the accident, Joe Burrow said, “This time last year I was sitting in a hospital bed. It’s good to be out there with the guys. Excited about where we are at.” It seems like Joe Burrow has bad luck when it comes to the beginning of the season.
What happened? As hinted earlier, Joe Burrow suffered from a calf injury and was spotted hopping on one leg. Suddenly, the player rolled onto the field. Without any delays, the medical team rushed him to the hospital.
Concerning Joe Burrow’s calf injury, the Cincinnati Bengals coach, Zac Taylor came in front of the media. He opened up about how the athletes usually end up having soreness, after the first day. He further said, “He (Joe Burrow) was just scrambling. This is football. Guys go down with an injury. This could be a day thing, who knows? There are a lot of guys that had soreness today that had their reps cut down a little bit. That is just part of football in training camp.” It seemed like he didn’t show much concern about Joe’s injury.
