FNAF Security Breach Ruin, a game launched by Steel Wool Studios, has been making waves among gamers with its similarity to the base game. The game can be played on Playstation, PC, Xbox, and Switch for free if you have the base game available.
Launched on July 25th of, 2023, FNAF Security Breach Ruin is a refreshment of childhood memories for several gamers. Gregory was the protagonist in the original and base game. Viewers have been curious to know what exactly happened to the beloved protagonist in the game series.
The storyline of the freshly launched game series focuses on Gregory getting trapped in the ruins of the Pizzaplex once again and seeking help from his best friend, Cassie. Cassie serves as the protagonist in Security Breach Ruin as she is the one who enters the Pizzaplex determined to save her best friend.
Gregory guides Cassie to the sinkhole in the Pizzaplex, where he is held captive by an unknown creature. Cassie is equipped with a bunny mask, a Roxy-walkie talkie, and Faz-Wrench and has to survive till the end with the help of these pieces of equipment.
The game starts with Cassie entering the concrete room near the M.X.E.S. box and realizing she made the biggest mistake of her life entering. Soon Cassie figures out that Gregory’s voice which guided her to the Pizzaplex, wasn’t his but of a metallic enormous creature.
The metallic creature comes out to attack Cassie, but she gets saved by Roxy, who gets revealed to be Gregory. The Pizzaplex is now abandoned and destroyed after an earthquake, with destroyed mascots lying around.
Cassie enters the Pizzaplex through a hole big enough to fit her petite frame in the window. Following her entrance, Cassie fights animatronics while exploring the Pizzaplex, hoping to find her best friend and rescue him.
In the previous game, Gregory served as the protagonist and playable character. Unlike Security Breach, Ruin doesn’t have a hiding place, but it follows a similar pattern of free roam. Security Breach Ruin’s gameplay is solely dependent on the intellect of the gamer.

Who Is Gregory?
Gregory is a human and the main protagonist of Security Breach while serving as one of the prime characters in Ruin, a DLC expansion. Gregory is a small, petite child with messy brownish hair and apricot-colored skin.
Gregory wears a blue colored T-shirt with cargo shorts in tan color. He has bandages applied on his left knee and right cheek. Gregory also wears socks with sneakers of cyan color. Gregory isn’t a calm and collected kid, and rather, he is irritable and outspoken.
Gregory never fails to show his emotions when annoyed. Gregory is blunt and honest, as he will immediately complain and make his dislike known to people if something doesn’t go his way. Gregory is distrustful, as witnessed in the game when he decides to hide from Vanessa instead of taking her help.
Gregory is a courageous kid, as he decides to confront other animatronics along the way instead of escaping with Freddy’s help. Gregory’s role in the game is to survive till 6:00 A.M. with Freddy’s help, and by doing the same, he can hide or distract the animatronics, but if he stays in the same hiding spot for a long time, he will end up dead.
Gregory was homeless before the events of the game, which makes him likely to either be orphaned or a runaway child.
What Happened To Gregory In Security Ruin Breach?
For the curious little squirrels, the answer to what happened to Gregory is quite unclear as he went off the grid. For the curious gamers suspecting Gregory died in the previous game, the truth is Gregory is still alive, as figured at the end of Ruin.
Gregory is picked up by Vanny and brought back to the Pizzaplex. But, a new layer of complexity is formed after Gregory turns into a GGY. In the game, Gregory begs Cassie to help him escape from the Pizzaplex after getting trapped.
By the end of the game, it became clear Gregory was trapped in Roxy as she continued to help Cassie throughout the game. Another speculation about Gregory is that he is alive but in spirit form, as the gamers failed to see Gregory after the base game.
During the game, it gets revealed that the Gregory saved by Cassie wasn’t the actual Gregory but a creature named The Mimic that pretended to be Gregory to lure Cassie into saving itself. It is then revealed that Gregory was never there at the Pizzaplex and was safe.
When the Mimic tries to grab Cassie, Roxy enters and saves her. During this process, Roxy-Talkie comes to life, through which Gregory has been trying to contact her throughout the night.
Then Gregory informs Cassie about how to escape from the Pizzaplex. Gregory also informs Cassie that Mimic was behind instructing her to disconnect the security nodes of the Pizzaplex.
