Damar Hamlin player had a cardiac arrest after his tackle on Higgins. Hamlin’s uncle Dorrian Glenn has further given an update about Hamlin’s condition stating that his heart had gone out, so the medical authorities had to resuscitate him twice.
Hamlin had to be resuscitated while he was still on the field, even before they brought him to the hospital, and then they had to resuscitate the athlete for a second time when he was rushed to the hospital.
Glenn went on to explain that his nephew was still sedated to give him a better chance of recovery, but there was still a fair bit of work to do. While calling the entire incident heartbreaking, Glenn admitted that it was like a gut punch, and he is just glad that Hamlin is alive and can fight and try to get better and recover.
Dr William Knight also has an update and stated how the past three days had been a long and difficult road as Damar has been very sick but, thankfully, has been making a fairly remarkable recovery.

How is Damar Hamlin’s Health Now?
The team has further issued an official statement informing that The Buffalo Bills’ defense suffered from a cardiac arrest following a hit in the game versus the Bengals. It was further revealed that Hamlin’s heartbeat was restored on the field, and the athlete was immediately taken to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. The athlete is currently sedated but has been listed under critical conditions.
One of Hamlin’s representatives took to Twitter and informed fans that Samar’s vitals were back to normal, and the athlete had been intubated as the medical authorities continued to perform tests. The medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, further stated that the conditions were of critical importance as they could restart Hamlin’s heart while Damelin was still on the field.

Jeff Miller, who is the NFL Executive Vice President of Communications, has also issued a statement saying there is nothing in consideration right now, and their prime concern is for the player and his health. Miami-based cardiologist Dr. Bernard Ashby took to Twitter and stated that Hamlin’s injury is what can be said as commotion Cordis which in medical terms means a medical issue that occurs when a sudden blunt affects the chest causing cardiac arrest.
Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has also opened up about the incident and admitted that the days since the incident have been hard but also added that everybody has been making him feel whole again. Higgins also revealed that he talked to Hamlin’s mother, and now that he is doing good, so Higgins is admittedly in a good place right now.
