So, What Happened Last Night On The Bachelor Season 27 Episode 3? Tom Brady, Clayton Kershaw, and now Christina Mandrell are the all-time great throwers in history. Because throwing is the only way to describe how this woman took an early one-on-one and turned it into villain status in a Week 3 elimination.
A lot of things happened in The Bachelor Season 27 Episode 3 from girls playing football/rugby to someone peeing their pants. From someone jumping off the plane to someone performing an Oscar-worthy cry.
This week some women were happy, some were crying, and some left crying. But there was the one who was always happy no matter what, I am talking about you Zach, you lucky son of a gun. He is surrounded by women who want him and is just living the dream.
What Happened Last Night On The Bachelor Season 27 Episode 3?
Like most disaster stories, The Bachelor Season 27 Episode 3 begins with the calm before the storm. Zach calls his bachelor BFF Sean Lowe to tell him just how great things are going.
So incomes Jesse Palmer to bring up the first date card of the week, a week where we’re now getting 2 one on ones per episode. However, the first date isn’t going to be today, and that’s because it was tonight.
Well, this nighttime one-on-one date is going to Katie and Zach enters the room to pick her up. And when he enters the room, some girl sniffed him. OK, that’s why we have been cooped up in this mansion too long.
Now for this one-on-one production asked Zach what his dream date was and Zach responded with a DVD copy of Night at the Museum. As here, Katie and Zach will be strolling through the Natural History Museum to a dinner date, which for Katie is an absolute dream because as she puts it, “I am somebody who loves experiences”. Really an experience for those who enjoy the experiences.
And during their dinner date, Katie shares how delighted she’s feeling as she’s never really had romance in her life. And this is like going from 0 to 100. But strip away the fancy dates and all Katie really wants is someone who’s going to stick by her through hard times, especially after coming out of her last relationship, one she says was toxic and tumultuous.
Katie says that she does want the fancy stuff, she just wants the basics. And she needs a man who can treat her right. To this Zach says, that wants her to know that she deserves way more than just the basics.
So these two are all smiles as Zach gives her the date rose, but things are not ending just yet. Zach asks Katie if she would like to spend the night at the museum with m him. And with a big smile, Katie says “Absolutely”. That’s right, they’re literally spending the Night of the Museum as they put on some of the finest animal print pajamas the Natural History Museum has to offer. And then spend the night trying to wrangle up all the museum exhibits that come to life.
Girls Getting Jealous About Katie’s Might Date
But of course, with a surprise overnight, some raised eyebrows from the women back at the mansion. Katie is still not back from her date and yet no one’s come to take away her suitcase, so what’s the deal? Well, eventually, she walks and the girls ask her to tell them all about her date.
And the jealous Brooklyn says, “Katie walks in half asleep in pajamas. It definitely looks like a washing”. Really, Walk of shame? If it were me walking in the morning after this date, I’d be calling you the Walk of Fame. There’s a new top dog in town and she just flew The Bachelor Season 27 Episode 3, OK, no shame in that.
Katie said that the date was really good. The girls asked if she got any sleep. She said No, and the other girls’ faces were literally down. But come on, you know there wasn’t any hanky panky going on next to the wax elephants. Still doesn’t stop the other women from getting a little jealous, especially Christina Mandrel, who is feeling like her one on one is now not so special.
The Bachelor Bowl 5
Well Next up for The Bachelor Season 27 Episode 3 is the group date and with these ladies arriving at a football field, it seems like it’s time for the date that I think we all knew was coming. So they were here today because it was one of the most famous sporting events of the year, the Bachelor Bowl 5. And the girls are competing in a game of full tackle football.
You know, if you watched pretty much any other season of The Bachelor, you know what’s to come. We get two teams, sports commentary, and someone over-exaggerating an injury in order to get extra time with the lead. And During the game when Anastasia got a bit injured, Brooklyn was like “I knew she wasn’t hurt, she was fine. She is just milking this injury”. OK, Brooklyn, first the walk of shame comment, now this, I see you.
Then eventually the winning team gets extra time with Zach while the others go home empty-handed. But really, for me, I’m just kind of looking forward to writing together these scenes with silly metaphors. Hmmm, It’s the little things in life. So in the end, team Ball-Zachs defeats the Shall-Crushers and for the most part, everyone comes out unscathed. These girls were just playing this game crazily. One of the girls literally just “peed her pants a little bit”.
The Date Night
And as things move into the next portion of the date, we see yet another Bachelor Bowl tradition continue as the second part of the date turns to disaster. First, Bailey doesn’t get the response she wants when she tells Zach that it feels like their relationship is regressing and that it feels weird. Now compare that to how Zach is with Ariel. He says, what he likes about her is that she likes to have fun. All right, marking that down Zach’s into women who kind of like loves to have fun and who love experiences.
So for one last Hail Mary on this football date, Bailey sits down with Zach a second time to reassure him that she wants to be here, expecting to hear something in return.
But he says that he just feels like in his gut, in his heart that he doesn’t know if there is anything between them. So Bailey is heading home just when Zach finally remembers her name, something that shocks and saddens the women on the date. Well, all except for Christina, who’s our other disaster in the making. She says something, I don’t remember what but it makes the other girls mad.
But even more shocking than that is, after Zach hands out the group date rose to Charity, Christina has the audacity to say that she is just confused. Then she says that “honestly, maybe I missed something, I can’t imagine if it was me.” Well, of course, this upsets Charity and the rest of the group, as they feel like Christina constantly makes everything about herself.
Aly’s Jumping From Plane Date
Alright, so while we leave that, the show then heads into the next one-on-one as Aly here is given a wedding dress to wear on her, you guessed it, skydiving date. Zach asks her if she would like to jump out of the plane with him and obviously she says yes. But Nope, o, you wouldn’t catch me doing this, not after what happened last time on this show.
Thankfully these two land safely on the ground. And while Ally might not have expected to be jumping out of a plane today, she definitely should have been expecting what she was getting into next, a hot tub. I swear the show is single-handedly saving the hot tub rental industry.
Moving on to the night portion of the date where here Aly describes how nice it was to let go during this date as typically she’s someone who’s always in control. Something she’s developed sort of like a defense mechanism because of past relationships where it’s been hard to put herself first. As for Zach, though, he says he wants nothing more than for her to be her authentic self and to show off who she is, naturally.
So Aly gets the Rose and is treated to a concert from Griffen Palmer, who, wait a minute, where have I seen that last name before? All right, this double-baby thing is getting out of hand.
Now speaking of Jesse Palmer, as the Rose ceremony is approaching, he’s arrived, but he’s got some bad news. The bad news was that Zach has decided that he doesn’t feel he needs the cocktail party tonight. The good news was that Zach wants a pool party. OK, look at how invested Gabby is in this thing, literally crossing her fingers when Jesse said there won’t be a cocktail party.
The Pool Party
But alright, it’s now time for the pool party and things are going really well for Zach as people are having fun, he’s making out with Ariel and Jess. But you know when it comes to this show, every time things are good, there’s always drama around the corner.
Brianna says that right now she was feeling raw and dumb at the same time. It’s confusing to her when she sees that connections are being formed when she is been feeling like there might not be anything here with her and Zach romantically. Brianna is feeling on her way out, so she decides to sit down with Zach and ask why he’s not feeling comfortable with her. And he says that he thinks when talking to her, It just feels off and it just seems guarded, put together and it just didn’t seem real.
So Brianna says despite wanting to get to know exactly better, she’s planning to go home. But before she goes, in true pool party fashion she wants to make a splash and name the person in the house who’s been causing drama. According to her, the person causing the drama is Christina. She made Charity cry after Zach gave her the Rose last time and she made her cry several times. She then said that they should be able to be in a safe environment where there’s no intimidation.
This caused the mood in the house to shift. The other women are sad to see Brianna go. And Cristina was like, “I feel for her a lot. She meant a lot to me. I don’t know what just happened, that’s really upsetting. That’s crazy”.
Not sure if the feeling was mutual Cristina and Zach too are feeling a little thrown off. And Zach is that saying it sucks. Then he goes on to say that with Christina, he has the best start he could ever have. And that “She was in my house. She met my family. She met my dogs”. Well, now, that’s crossing the line. I mean, she met his dogs.
Cristina’s Oscar-Worthy Tears
So Zach pulls Christina to get to the bottom of this. And when he confronts her about what Brianna said, Christina breaks down. She says that it would be a mistake to believe this and it would be a real bummer. Also, this doesn’t make sense to her and she doesn’t get it.
All the while Zach is looking like Ben Affleck from the Grammys, “he does not want to be there”. So Zach once again explains that he is not here for the drama. He says that where it is hard for him, is the fact that he is here to find his best friend and he has to deal with stuff like this. And do we get to see yet another bachelor tradition, a blonde woman absolutely balling on the stairs.
Now after inspectors Zach as some investigation, and talked to Brooklyn and Charity about Christina, we then quickly moved from the pool party into the Rose ceremony. And of course, this one is all about whether or not Christina gets a rose.
And as the roses get handed out one by one and Christina starts looking worse and worse, the final rose comes down to her or Mercedes. And with that, Christina Mandrell is headed home, while Zach proves he’s not going to let the drama fly. I mean, so far we’re not even seeing the classic producer rose, which either means Zach is taking the season by the rains or production as something or someone even more villainous at the ready. So that’s it for this recap of Week 3 of the Bachelor Season 27.
