Humphrey helps us level set with this year’s goal – to get promoted out of the National League and into the Football League. Otherwise, as the owners mentioned, the club will be completely unsustainable and will bleed them out financially.
In order to chase promotion, Wrexham has been investing heavily in new players. Elliot Lee arrives from Luton, Jordan Tunnicliffe joins from Crawley Town, Anthony Ford joins from Oxford United, and Mark Howard comes in from Carlisle United, all dropping down from the Football League.
Sam Dalby and Jacob Mandy are two promising players picked up from other National League sides. With the star bar up top in Mullin and Palmer, Wrexham needs some depth to support their strikers.

Before diving into Welcome to Wrexham Season 2 Episode 2, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. First Game of the 2022/23 season: Wrexham host Eastleigh. There’s been a goalkeeper change with Rob Lainton still recovering from his dislocated wrist. We learn about the tedious recovery process for this injury.
Out of contract at the end of the season, Lainton’s future is in doubt If he doesn’t recover properly. The new keeper, Mark Howard, is in focus right from the off. Eastleigh whips a cross in, and Howard palms it into the air, thinking he was fouled as Eastleigh scored for the opener.
Fans are already calling this a must-win match. There’s a couple of scoring opportunities. But Wrexham are 1-0 down heading into halftime. The second half calls for change, and new signing Elliot Lee enters around the hour mark. Ten minutes later, he scores the equalizer.

Welcome to Wrexham Season 2 Episode 2 will be released on 19 September 2023 on FX. This Episode is titled “The Quiet Zone”. At the time of writing, five episodes are scheduled for this second season, but it is possible that it can have eighteen episodes like its first season.
The Synopsis of Episode 2 is as follows: “Paul Mullin, a striker for Wrexham, responds to challenges both on and off the field. And we meet Millie Tipping, a huge Wrexham fan.”
